He was very upset and wanted to find Kyle and apologize to him for knocking him out of the race. Kyle had already left to get to the truck race. However, as the story goes they did talk and everything is ok. Kyle had the flat before Joey bumped him. But Kyle didn't even know he had a flat. Kyle and Denny have helped Joey in his career and Joey felt responsible. It wasn't Joey's fault even if Kyle did not have a flat. That is racin. Look how many xx Kyle has done the same thing to get a win. I felt bad about Joey but am glad all is well. Kyle is great and I think Joey will get there real soon |

If anyone of you watched the ESPN special last year when it was announced that Tony Stewart was getting out of the 20 car you would know the whole story on Joey Logano. His father sat there during the interview and said himself that he approached Scott Zipadelli to get him to talk to Joe Gibbs about getting his son in the team. Joe Gibbs did not discover Joey Logano. Yes Mark Martin saw him and was impressed with his driving. Mark went to Jack Roush to get him in the team. Jack Roush did approach the family and his father declined. His father picked the team for him to go to and his father made all his decisions. The family has money and they sold their business here in Middletown, CT to go down south to start their kids careers. So to the girl below me I agree with you that the father did pay for the equipment. All of this stuff I am posting on this site came directly out of his fathers mouth during that ESPN special. And Joe Gibbs has even stated that they did not want to put him in the 20 when Stewart stepped out of it, but they had no choice to and he is not going to be very successful in that organization as long as he has Kyle Busch as his team mate. That is all I have to say. |

To: 03: 00: 42 I agree with you that Joey did not get there on his father's dime ENTIRELY, but his father did make sure Joey had the best equipment according to several articles I have read. I wasn't trying to berate his family in anyway, just making a comparison to other drivers with just as much talent, but lack the money that it took to get Joey to the skill level he is currently at. I do see a difference there, sorry you can't see that. I wasn't looking for an argument. |

{wrote what is above} I wrote that. BTW Joey did not get to be in NASCAR from his fathers money. He got there because of his talent. Yes his parents moved from their old home so that he could race, but they also moved so that his sister could SKATE. Joey did not get where he his fully on his own, no, he got there because others noticed his talent and knew he would be awesome for NASCAR. Joey Gibbs took him in. Joey has been racing since he was 5 going on 6. Mark Marting noticed him because his son raced in the same league with him. You are only seeing what the media is telling you. You dont know him. The media really doesnt either. Grow up all of you. |

I highly doubt that Joey would have gotten this far on his own, his daddy put up the money to get the best equipment possible. If Joey was given sub-standard cars like most other struggling drivers, he wouldn't be doing this well. The best cars and the constant nagging to always strive to do better by daddy is why he is where he is today, but yes, it is paying off. No 18 year old could possibly understand if some chick he is banging is "the one" he is too young. If he does end up marrying her, he is just another reason to ignore nascar and all their terrible choices and lack of judgment skills that keep getting the spot light by the media who needs a good laugh. There sure are a lot of drivers( and athletes) who make terrible personal choices and I am sick of watching the media shine a light on it all the time. It's just not worth the effort to pay attention anymore. |
