People tend to forget that Jr. called Tommy's father a liar. When he said there was no truth he tried to make it sound like it was all about the Enquirer. They were quoting Tommy's father and Jr in essence called him a liar. A lot of people have been called liars because he can't see his way to tell the truth. Great post. All he had to do was be honest. I've always thought that this man could get away with murder because of his fan's loyalty and turning a blind eye to everything he does. He did not have to lie. He didn't have to say anything in LV but he chose to make a complete ass out of himself. As for her, people keep telling others to shutup about her because they want the situation to go away. They don't want people to know what she is.The story is not going away and more people are finding out. They can still be their fans, I don't care about that but I feel they should at least know the truth and who the man really is that they support. Yes he is.  I think they were like 17 and 19 when they met at a party.  If I remember corectly, they both liked the same girl and by the end of the night they became fast friends and ditched the girl.  They told the story on the radio show.  -ls

Team Tyra! - ummm seriously...if i a guy is getting good nookie he'd kick his mama to the curb. lol - I've had guys dump their friends to hang with me BUT being the good girlfriend I wouldn't allow it, I made sure there was a good balance between hanging with me, hanging with his friends & all of us hanging together.  I made it a point to get to know his friends & most of the time I became such good friends with my boyfriends friends that they would call me first to hang & would say "oh yeah don't forget to bring our boy with you"  so if a woman really loves & respects her man she should respect his friendships & make sure they stay in tact especially if they're falling apart because of her. If the friendship is falling apart for other reasons then it's not her problem, she should actually stay out of it & make NO COMMENT.

Ya know, this one is really funny/weird.  Sometime in the last couple of weeks I was googling JR and I came across a video of when this particular pic was taken.  JR had just walked into the hospitality room (I think that's what they call it) where ppl were waiting for him and this actress person was there to.. closest to the entrance.  And she keeps her left hand kinda held up in the air (not by her side, which looked weird to me), and when he stops to take a pic with her, she then places it on his chest, like it was all planned. (i.e. publicity photo)  I'll see if I can find it.

No problem, but this past NYE...no pics needed to be dropped because of the Vegas debut...the year before however photos were posted here of her by 10:a.m. by a hit  and run poster...I remember even joking that they didn't even let the hangover pass before they posted them here.  That happened rather frequently...it was a standing joke..is that a hit and run...yep they're gone...just post and leave.  -ls

Team Tyra!! - Wow another eye opener. I think his PR team is to blam just as much as he is. At the end of the day, they're being paid to promote him to make money. They should also have their ear to the ground & guide him when he makes missteps. Relationships like Amy should be kept low key. I guess time will tell

Reply to: Jr has been the fan favorite since he came out in 98 as the heir apparent...His name is Earnhardt and he had an engaging, down to earth personality that people liked and that got him lots of fans.  Even though he hasn't won since Amy came into the picture...the fans (including me) stuck by him through thick and thin and girlfriend after girlfriend, but I and many others draw the line with this one for obvious reasons...the lying, hiding, cya, etc...has opened eyes...and while he may be the most popular driver etc...that is waning....he's starting to lose contests that he never would have before...He lost to JJ in a contest last year...he didn't have the biggest merch sales at NASCAR.com last year, he dropped from 3rd to 6th most powerful in NASCAR this year...behind Danica....sorry he may still be #1, but it is waning.  The rabid fans will find and argument for every one of those points, but sorry they are adding up...he was boo'd in Charlotte for God sakes.  jmo  -ls

Friends with Jr... well, per his own personal viewpoint; it takes quite a while to become friends with Jr, because he didn't trust people and their motives.  I don't think Amy was ever classified as "friends" with Jr... because of what he said about the length of time.  Not sure what you mean by sex, alcohol and your heart into the mix.  Again, had she FILED before getting with Jr, I'd be leading the Amy bandwagon; and that is the truth.  bk1

Team Tyra! - I think you're on to something here...he's concerned about winning. He does look very troubled. So worrying about Amy is definitely not #1 on his list to fix. Especially if she's living in his house. Bud has an image & they were concerned about it so they obviously made Jr fix his image which resulted in  him ending his relationship. See, exactly what I said, if you're a business & your fans don't like what you're doing they protest until you change or they leave. The bottomline is MONEY! and Bud proved my point.

I agree with you. I don't think associates the two at all.  I do think he's very driven to win right now and probably tries to ignore much of anything else. I can't believe the only people who might think there is a connection are the ones that come here to post. If he has noticed, he must feel she is more important and that says alot. JMO cg

KB was seen around the track with his mistress way before they filed for divorce in June(aka everyone knew the marriage was in trouble) and all of a sudden days later she is with him in victory lane kissing in the same month as he files for divorce. Common now!

Oh for heaven's sake,.. . He filed in 2010, not 2011, he was divorced in 2011 and it takes one year in NC from date of legal separation to be granted a divorce.  Patricia was around the track because she has been around the track for many years with her organization and link with NASCAR.  Let's take further discussion to KB's forum and stop posting here.  bk1

A good PR team I guess. I asked a few people at work the other day what they knew about NASCAR and the responses were "isn't the Earnhardt guy in charge of NASCAR" or "that Jr guy is pretty popular" or "Dale somebody has something to do with NASCAR"... they didn't know anyone else. How is this possible when he hasn't won anything in years!!! lol My thing is these people know about him but they don't support his career financially. His devoted fans do & sometimes celebrities personal lives can impact Fans buying decisions. What I don't understand is why his PR guy allowed JR to "present" Amy to the "world". Do you know how many celebrities purposely do not have pictures of their girlfriends, wives, kids, etc. out in the media. What was the motive behind this? Especially knowing that neither of them have clean hands...so to speak (all speculation). Selma Hayek was dating her her mogul businessman husband for a long time before it became public and shortly after they had a kid & got married (not sure of the order) Do you think the motive is marriage & a baby? Cause really they could've kept this low key...I don't think I've ever seen Jr. "present" his past gfs to the world...or did he?

Jr has been the fan favorite since he came out in 98 as the heir apparent...His name is Earnhardt and he had an engaging, down to earth personality that people liked and that got him lots of fans.  Even though he hasn't won since Amy came into the picture...the fans (including me) stuck by him through thick and thin and girlfriend after girlfriend, but I and many others draw the line with this one for obvious reasons...the lying, hiding, cya, etc...has opened eyes...and while he may be the most popular driver etc...that is waning....he's starting to lose contests that he never would have before...He lost to JJ in a contest last year...he didn't have the biggest merch sales at NASCAR.com last year, he dropped from 3rd to 6th most powerful in NASCAR this year...behind Danica....sorry he may still be #1, but it is waning.  The rabid fans will find and argument for every one of those points, but sorry they are adding up...he was boo'd in Charlotte for God sakes.  jmo  -ls

A good PR team I guess.  I asked a few people at work the other day what they knew about NASCAR  and the responses were "isn't the Earnhardt guy in charge of NASCAR" or "that Jr guy is pretty popular" or "Dale somebody has something to do with NASCAR"... they didn't know anyone else. How is this possible when he hasn't won anything in years!!! lol My thing is these people know about him but they don't support his career financially. His devoted fans do & sometimes celebrities personal lives can impact Fans buying decisions. What I don't understand is why his PR guy allowed JR to "present" Amy to the "world". Do you know how many celebrities purposely do not have pictures of their girlfriends, wives, kids, etc. out in the media.  What was the motive behind this? Especially knowing that neither of them have clean hands...so to speak (all speculation). Selma Hayek was dating her her mogul businessman husband for a long time before it became public and shortly after they had a kid & got married (not sure of the order) Do you think the motive is marriage & a baby? There have never been pics of Amy cozy next to Kelley at the 2008 Oct charity event.  I don't live in NC, so I personally did not witness her at the event, never said I did.  I know a person who was at the event, an acquaintance who didn't know who the blonde girl was that he was cozy with, I didn't know either until I saw the pic from the race (with her to the side of the pit box with her friend).  Told my acquaintance to see if that was her and she said yes.    Feisty on here was there, and TGOM also posted the following week after the event about the "girl" that Jr was dancing so cozily with, and at first they thought it was Liz, but then they saw the face and were curious about who it was.  About the same time posters on this board began commenting about that and started digging up information and the rest is history as they say.  bk1

Thanks for the response.  Just to clarify, my post didn't state "cozy next to Kelly"... it stated "standing near".  Maybe you intended to type JR.  Anyway, the pics that were posted were of JR being escorted to the stage and in the background (by the wall) was Kelly and Amy was standing to the left of Kelly (in the pic).  Seems like someone also reported that michelle and amy were initally escorted in and were seated next to the table of the person who posted it on here.  Can't specifically remember if that was fiesty or the Legend (statesville).

If you read the follow up post to the original post I pointed out that my reference to Kurt's gf was NOT talking about her morals or what she and Kurt did I was talking about her being a successful and respected career woman and what she had done with that part of her life. And I don't think he left his wife for Patricia they had already filed for divorce and it was mutual.  But that's neither here nor there as far as the point I was making I wasn't talking about that PART of her life.

Case in point - the gal that did my hair for years when we lived in AZ (still does my son's) had been off and on with her husband for a couple of years before she finally moved out for good last year. She had been dating for most of the off and on stuff (whole nother story about issues with her husband but he knew she was dating) and now has a guy she is pretty serious about.

But she is still legally married for insurance purposes. Her ex (sort of ex) has great medical benefits - does not pay any portion of the premium and no co-pays. My friend does not have insurance. They agreed to stay legally married for a year so she would have benefits and then access the situation after that.

She did not take anything financial out of the marriage except their agreement with medical benefits. The house was his when they got married but she put her own money into remodeling and re-doing it. She left all that with him.

So not excusing adultery but in my friend's case, everything was above board and no sneaking around. It was more a business/financial arrangement. Anyhoo - I wish her happiness - she is a great person.

Gotcha...I have a situation like that in my own family....My uncle and his wife seperated more than 25 years ago..his wife has MS and because of insurance issues and pre-existing conditions, if they divorced, she would lose her benefits and not be able to get a new policy due to the illness...so they have lived seperate lives with other partners all of these years but remain legally married due to the insurance issues.  Fortunately her MS has progressed at a very slow pace and although I don't think either anticipated it being this many years...they have their own lives.  -ls

If someone cheats on me, no that is not treating me well.  However, you have no proof that he cheated.  Everything that is known via articles is that he FILED to legally separate and that in June 2011 he brought out Patricia, before Sept 2011 he was divorced.  In NC where he filed, it takes 1 year to be granted the divorce.  So he FILED in June, July Or August 2010.  Eva hadn't been seen at the track since August 2010.  He stopped wearing his wedding ring early in 2011.  Patricia showed up with him in June 2011; right before his divorce was final.  Nothing about their timeline suggests anything but a marriage was over, the spouse Filed and got divorced.  Now, yes Patricia was with him prior to the divorce, but Many Months after the legal separation  had been filed.  Unlike Ms Amy who forgot to tell her husband the marriage was over and only filed after she got caught.  bk1

that report is inaccurate.  He filed way before he brought her out in June.  The divorce preceedings were being finalized in July of 2011, and he lives in NC... so he had to file in June/July 2010 for one year waiting period and then the divorce was granted.  bk1

Thanks for the clarification. Quite frankly, I think there is such a difference that I don't know why it had to be broken down like that. I've never been a big fan of Kurt Busch but I feel in this case he was twice the man Jr ever thought about being. As a former fan of jr's I find his behavior concerning this relationship just to be an embarrassment. JMO cg

I did go back and read the article on Pat - I had read it before.  Looks like separation and the bringing out of Pat happened in the same month.  Not sure which date happened first but I would guess the legal stuff was already in the hands of attorneys.

But - Kurt's marriage to Eva was not ongoing while he brought Pat out in public.  Meaning Eva did not turn on the TV and was shocked to see Pat standing by Kurt.  She knew her marriage was over before that point.  If not, I am sure we would have heard about that.

In all the articles that mention the dubious beginnings of Dale and Amy's relationship, none mention that Amy was already separated but not yet legally, from her husband or that she had an abusive or troubled marriage.  Only place I've seen those claims are on this board.

 Well legend, if that were the case, Eva would not still be friends with Kurt. According to Kurt, "they will always be friends". If he treated her like crap and cheated on her, as you swear he has, then they have nothing to tie them together (children) so she has no reason to still be friends with him. DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Former NASCAR champion Kurt Busch said Thursday he is legally separated from his wife and in the process of formally ending his marriage.

"Those in the NASCAR community have been aware for some time now that we are no longer together and we are legally separated," Busch read from prepared remarks. "While we go through this process, it has been tough. The upcoming weeks we'll work at formally terminating our marriage. We do so with the most respect for one another and we'll always be friends."

Busch married Eva Bryan in 2006, three years to the day of them meeting on a blind date. She has not been seen this season at the track, where wives and girlfriends have a heavy presence on pit road and atop the pit boxes during races.

Reply-to:A lot of the criticism here is directed at both Dale and Amy and the fact that Dale hasnt ever stood up for his relationship.  He leaves open the impression Amy dumped her husband for his wallet and he doesnt consider this an important relationship in his life.Add in all the weird hiding for three years and they both look silly and immature.I think that Q&A in LV lit a fire under Amy.  That had to be embarrassing.

I would think so and it is nobody's fault but jrs that this mess has started. People think she's sleazy because that is what he allowed people to think. Their very behavior encouraged these beliefs. Never has he defended her or spoke up for her except to tell those ridiculous lies such as simple girl and not look at me type. All he accomplished was to confirm what so many thought about her and and come out looking like a lying jerk himself. Waiting 3 years to say that was unreal. Jr was calling the shots and Jr blew it because jr was not man enough to tell the truth and face the consequences. Job well done jr! JMO cg

You all are so good about finding dirt on anybody you say you dont like but when someone says someone else is just like the person your condemning you defend him or her? Makes no sense why some of you just like to argue!? I thought adulturey in some of your eyes is the worst thing! Who cares if he said he cheated after the fact! He still cheated! BS:  he never said he cheated , before or after the fact.. I am a Kurt fan and I did go looking when Patricia was shown to be with him.  I found articles about how the writers knew the marriage had issues and that is was falling apart, but chose not to write about it.  He FILED before he brought Patricia out....  that is the difference.  Amy did not.  bk1
