Tony also mentioned that he was looking for a driver to take the place of Kraig, who could run the same JJ engine that Donny does. So, he is looking to replace Kraig. What I don't get is that with all the sudden changes with monetary considerations, and putting a member of his team out of work(he is helping him look for a ride),how could he invest in motors and tires etc...for this unknown girl whose track recored is suspect at best. Doesn't add up. Also in the mix is Bass Pro,sponsor of the 20 sprint car. No way would they put their name on her car, no way....Listen, he spends his money the way he sees fit. I am just afraid, like we had said for months, that his personal feelings are affecting his racing decisions ..that is what I was afraid would happen, and I really hope that is not what is happening. Nobody in Nascar even knows or cares about this situation. It is a non-entity, just like on all the sites. She is not a name in racing,and no matter what Tony does, it is not going to make her a better driver.Engines and tires do not turn you in to a great driver. Talent does....

Considering the number of racing-savvy fans Dale, Sr. had, there's no way the majority of Jr.'s fans were Dale, Sr. fans. Generally speaking, Dale, Sr. fans were knowledgable about NASCAR racing & appreciated the incredible talent he was. Jr. fans are mostly newbies who obviously don't really know crap about NASCAR racing or how to recognize racing talent. They must like the Nationwide or Wrangler or Enterprise commercials because they sure as hell can't like what they see on the race track. Considering the investment in a race team, Hendrick has to start looking for a more talented driver soon.

I'm not much of a gambler, but the odds of Mark Martin winning the championship is not gonna happen. So i will proudly Congratulate Jimme and Team 48 on thier unprecendented 4th Championship. Just like Dale Sr and other drivers he will be a Legend of his time, which could be a blessing or a curse.
