Reply-to:I have been a NASCAR fan since the late 60s.Most in the 90s a Mark Martin fan . Back then, it was always about the brand- Ford, GM, Dodge. Most drivers started as a local track driver and hoped for the big break. Mark martin got the break because he was good. Jack Rouch (Ford guy) hired Mark to drive the #6 Ford for many years. Mark dicides he wants to retire! He and Rusty have a last season show. Mark calls his Salute to (something) Tour. I cant rember because I sold all my Mark Martin stuff on Ebay. Rusty accualy did retire but Mark dicided (against his wifes wishes) to resume racing. I had spent hundreds of dollars during his tour to remember him . To make matters worse, he dicides to drive Chevy (because Rouch would not give him a part time schedule) A year later FULL TIME SCHEDULE in a Chevy!  Now he is driving a Toyota? (made in USA but money goes to Japan) First he pisses off Ford fans than he pisses off GM fans.

Reply-to:Mark plays stupid sometimes because he doesnt want to say anything against another driver.   He has more respect for others then all of them put together.

Respect has to be earned and he has done that 10times fold. He is one of the best drivers on the track because he gives respect and he gets it in return.

Mos people say oh I dont like hbim because he use to drie a ford or now he drives for Hendrick. The car and the team is not what makes all drivers needless to say there are a few that if it was not for there team or car they would suck but that is besides the point. Mark Martin is a driver who races with respect. If there is a car thats faseter than him and they are trying to get by he will let them by. Not because he sucks but because he knows that is the thing to do to avoid a wreck. He is not one of these drivers that will wreck someone because he wants to. The fact that there is even a blog for people who thank he sucks is a little stupid. I dont know who did it but I hoipe they know that they are not a REAL NASCAR fan and they have NO clue if he sucks or not. My dad worked on a NASCAR pit crew for many years and I have meet Mark in person and he is a really good driver and a person. To be a good driver you have to be a good person first.
