all you guys are stupid. he played in toronto 6 seasons, and dominated put them on the map. if it wasnt for him you guys wouldnt be anything. also, you guys are just made that once he got traded he put up 20 pts 5 rebs and 5 assists multiple seasons in a row. He dominated toronto every game, scored game winners and posted big numbers every time, and whopped them in the playoffs back o back years. He is older now, age got him, however he contributes, still can fly, and contribute more than any of you bums could. He is a future hall of famer. 20,000+ pts 8 time all star, gold medalist, slam dunk champion, rookie of the year, and the best dunker in nba history. hop of the mans nuts scrubs

9 for 31 so far on the world champ Mavs' playoff run.  He's got virtually no assists and countless blown D assignments. So contribution wise, he sucks.  Consider also that he's always been a loser, and doesn't fit into Mavs chemistry anymore than Odom did.  Remind me again why this guy is considered a prime time player on this team, let alone league?  Help me out here.

Vince is severely over rated. He played professionally exclusively because of his vertical and dunking. He got by with that, dooping scouts and managers into thinking he had skills. He slid by so well actually, that he never developed even a basic jump shot. And now he's getting paid a ton of money in Dallas because of his name alone. And this is a disappointment to this Dallas fan, because hes filling a foot that a skilled player could actually have and dvtydlky contribute. So here's to Vince...freeloading, no work ethic, pathetic SOB.

I hate to say it but I don't believe Vince Carter sucks... despite how he's played the past couple seasons.  My take on Vince Carter is that he plays apprehensively due to his knee issue.  We already know that Vince had 'jumper's knee' earlier on in his NBA career.  Vince Carter admitted that he didn't give 100 percent when he was in Toronto but he still put up big numbers.  I think at some point he decided it was more important for him to coast through games rather than even try to be the all-star we knew him to be in the past.  I share everyone's frustration in watching him play because I know he's a lot better than what he's showing.  But at the end of the day, I don't think Vince is the type of athlete that will sacrife his body for his sport as he's playing for himself and still getting a good paycheck doing it.  Unfortunately for Dwight Howard and the rest of the Orlando Magic having a guy on your team that plays for himself and doesn't play to his true potential makes for a negative impact team wise.  If Vince still wants to get a good contract offer after his existing contract expires then he will have to show everyone that he can still play.   But like Dwight Howard says 'He's half man, half retired.' Who knows how long he wants to play with a knee he told Jerry Stackhouse just doesn't feel right anymore.

i'm pissed at Vince as well but in his defense, he is not selfish. he's too passive, lacks that killer instinct, but not selfish.
