Monique Payton As a dedicated wife and mother of three, Monique is determined to make a difference in the lives of her family, friends and the world around her. One way she hopes to do this is by breaking down barriers. After her cousin passed away of AIDS, as she held his hand, her heart embraced a passion to find a cure for this deadly disease. She rallied the support of her friends and family to develop a fund raising event called Red, White and Blues. This event raised more than $232,000 for the Life Long AIDS Alliance. She knew this was the beginning of her newfound journey to helping others. During her own trials and tribulations, it was the faith in God and the gifts he has given her to create opportunities and resources to those in need that has helped her overcome her own adversities. As a wife of an NBA player, she has experienced many challenges that only her and God know about. She felt it was time to collaborate with other wives to share who they really are. They have a wealth of wisdom, inspiration, accomplishments, and dissapointments. They would love to share this with the world in hopes of empowering diverse individuals. |
