He's a great person. Has the biggest heart ever. I will always have great admiration, and respect for him. I wish Mel the best of luck and happiness in everything he does. He is one who will always hold a special place in my heart simply because of how respectful and kind hearted he is/was. Much love & blessings to Mr. Ely. |

I played college ball with Mel for 4 years.. One of the most down to earth guys you'll ever meet! Was always in the gym early doing individual workouts with a coach, and always the last to get out, doing extra one on ones after. Going out, the guy that says hi to everyone and never talk trash to people... A great good hearted person that deserves everything he's earned! Keep goin big Melly mel! |

Melvin Ely!! What a great person!! I used to go watch him play at Fresno State. Man, did his mom bring him up right or what. He was about as sweet and nice as Walter Payton. I will never forget that NCAA game against Michigan and that huge Richardson guy that guarded Melvin. Made me think his chances in the NBA would not be so good. But I hope it's been good enough and more than that, I hope he's found an equally good woman. Very best to you Melvin. An old fan in Fresno who will always remember you!! Annie |

Melvin has a girl and most of you are right, she was very down to earth and treated my two boys, DeVoe and Makhai, with a lot of class and respect. I admired her and the family. How do I know? Congrats! again Tenesha, oh and you to Pat. |

Yeah, Jade was at the party.Most of the Hornet players like CP3, Tyson Chandler, Melvin Ely pluys they're wives and girlfriends were at the shoe release party. From what I could see Jada hung out & partied with the other wives or girlfriends in VIP with they're significant others while CP worked the room. Marks Peterson and i think Posey was there too i had the cance to meet some of them the party was crazy fun. |

I know Mel from Fresno and I have become friends with his girl. They are in love. They enjoy each others company and he enjoys being with her. I have know him around 12 years and he has always done his best to be a good, strong black man. I know alot of ball players cause I used to play and he IS ONE OF THE GOOD ONES! Please respect that and this man. We never give props to STRONG BLACK MEN that are good fathers, husbands or boyfriends. He is a good father and boyfriend. |

Ladies, where has the respect gone? Respect for ourselves, our bodies, and others? Why would you want to be 1,2,3,4,5 & brag about it? Why risk the chance of catching unnecessarry diseases, unless the same girl is posting multiple times its clear you aint the only one. Does anyone know how to post pictures? The Wayan"s brothers Marlon, Keenen other's and Melvin were at a college graduation this past weekend. My pics aren't clear but the celebrities were there. I don't know if they were there for the same person or not. I think I have a pic of Mel & his gf or family member |

I met him once in New Orleans when they were in the playoffs. He was really nice - not stuck up at all like some of the others. The Hornets are going all the way next year! |

I also saw Mel and his girl (some carmel chick) at club Sugar I think and while I didn't speak to him or her they seemed like a very attractive item. Respectfully, I can only hope that all this mess on these message boards are garbage seeing as how they looked very happy. Then too you never can trust this mess it can be some jealous ex female who can't get over him making more drama then needed. I hope them the best. |

i also had a chance to meet him... i think he was with his woman in la two weeks ago when i went to a club. he was dressed and looking good tall and sexy but i must admit he has a BAD chick and she seemed very cool and down to earth. |
