And which other “wives” are making the cut? Warrant for Antoine Walker for bad checksApparently former NBA star Antoine Walker plays hard on the gaming tables too. An arrest warrant has been issued for Walker after he allegedly wrote $1 million worth of bad Walker paid back some of the money but still owes $822,500 to Caesars Palace, Planet Hollywood and the Red Rock Resort, according to prosecutors. Las Vegas Justice of the Peace Melanie Tobiasson signed the warrant Tuesday. It carries a $9 million bond. Walker's The checks were written on July 27, 2008, August 22, 2008 and Jan. 19, 2009, according to the criminal complaint against Walker. Last July, Walker wrote two checks, each for $100,000, to Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, according to the criminal complaint. He did the same thing at Red Rock Casino in Las Vegas on Aug. 22. Then, on Jan. 19, he wrote six more $100,000 checks, all to Ceasars Palace in Las Vegas, according to the complaint. Prosecutors say Walker received cash or gaming chips worth $1 million in exchange for the checks, which were later returned unpaid by the banks on which he had written them, according to the warrant for his arrest. Walker was given a chance to pay the remaining debt in full and did not do so, triggering the prosecution, according to the warrant. Prosecutor Bernie Zadrowski told the Walker, who graduated from Mt. Carmel High School, has been the victim of two high-profile robberies in recent years. In 2000, Walker was among five victims robbed at gunpoint of cash and a $55,000 watch outside Eppels Restaurant at 554 W. Roosevelt Rd. The diamond and platinum Cartier watch was Walker's. In 2007, Walker was tied up in his River North home and robbed of cash, jewelry and his black Mercedes-Benz. He moved from his $4.5 home soon after. |
