| listen laker fans derrick fisher has never ever been a good defender in his early days all he did was take charges. remember in 2001 we had to bring in tyrone lue to keep up with iverson and in 2004 we signed old ass payton to help fisher, we were down 0-2 in that series until phil benched fish for payton then we won series. then dude leaves for money and cant start for the wariors and jazz but he starts here for 3 years, yeah he hit those two 3's last year....the only 3's he hit all year. this year fisher is looking even more ridiculous than in the past when he would drive to the basket and try and make a two handed layup against 3 trees now he cant even hit an open shot 1 for 8 2 for 8 3 for 10 everyday day no assist no rebnds. i think he gets respect cause he is the players association president cause he sucks. i was happy when he left the first time, thought he was old 5 years ago. |

he should be third guard after brown and farmer You are so right. Fisher has been making more fouls than points to help the Lakers win games. AND he has that stupid innocent look, like, "Now! What did I do wrong?" He cannot make his much needed 3 pt shots when the Lakers need them the most. He seems to be making them only when the Lakers are ahead. He should not be a starter ANYMORE! And Pau Gasol needs to play like a man and not with soft-hands. I heard him on an interview tell a reporter, "No more soft-hands." But he goes right back to losing the ball so much and poor passes. He is very capable of shooting the basket many times in a game, but is afraid to. |

Honestly, he's too slow to guard anybody on the nuggets, he can't even BUY a shot, he can't drive to the hoop because he's too slow and he always tries to draw contact but all he does is throw it up and it goes no where...In transition he always tends to pull up for a 3 or a long jumper when he's got ariza, walton, kobe or whom ever it maybe WIDE open or a trailer |

why does fish drive the lane. he never did when he was actually good. he never gets the foul call. he can never convert. so why does he go 1 on 5. fisher sucks. |
| OMG!! What happened to Fisher??? He USED to play so well. He was a pointguard that could be trusted to make the right decisions and knock down critical shots. Its CLEAR that he is not the same player he USED to be. It is not all his fault though, since he is getting old. Fisher does not deserve to start for the Lakers anymore and should definitely be getting LIMITED minutes against the nuggets. START Jordan Farmar as the point guard PLEASE Phil Jackson!! |

Derek Fisher is too old and too slow for today's players. In Thursday's game against the nuggets Derek only made 3 points for 27.42 mins of play. 1/5 3pt shots, 0/4 fgm. in all that time, with 5 fouls. He makes more fouls than points. BENCH HIM PHIL JACKSON! Most point guards are scoring way above that TODAY. Let Farmar replace Derek as point-guard starter. Farmar made 1/1 for 2 pts in 6.14 mins of play. S. Brown did better: 1/1 3pt , 2/7 fgm. for 8 pts in 16.46 mins of play. WAKE UP PHIL JACKSON! |

its obvious fisher has lost it way before this series...he's been playing horrible the quarter of the year, and sucked ass in the jazz and rockets series as well!! wtf...it's so obvious he's a negative to the team...i don't remember him making a layup in traffic in 2 years...and yet he keeps forcing layups and falls on the ground as a clump...phil jackson is just as old and retarded for not changing it up...its clearly evident he should be limited to 10 minutes a game! |

First of all, I am a 100% LAKER fan. A fan of the TEAM, and I want whatever is best for the TEAM. With that... Derek Fisher used to be a solid NBA player. Key words: used to be. After watching Game 2 last night, I can safely say that he should start looking into retiring and taking care of his daughter full time. He tries to push the ball and drive the lane against 4 defenders, he gets the ball with 8 or 9 seconds left on the shot clock and just dribbles there until 2 seconds left and tries to shoot over taller defenders and plays horrible defense. The only thing he can still do is hit pull up 15-18 foot jumpers and wide open 3s. And I mean WIDE OPEN, like even if a 5 year old girl was guarding him, he'd brick it. I even said during the last few minutes of the 4th quarter that Fisher would have to hit the game winning shot to regain any confidence I have in him. What does he do? Airballs the game tying 3. Seriously, if you can't get the ball to Kobe, call another Timeout. You had another :20 damnit. Phil, please, oh please start Shannon Brown and play Farmer as the back-up. Fisher is pure trash now. |
| Derek Fisher is too old, and too slow to be a starter. In the 1st playoff with Denver he did ok with 13 pts, 3/6 3pt shots. In this 2nd playoff game he scored only 3 pts for 27.42 mins. of play. He made 1 of 5 3pt shots, 1 of 4 fgm. and had five fouls. He has more fouls than pts. What kind of a pro point-guard is that. Phil Jackson is dumb to use Fisher as a starter, AND to keep him in the game that long. He should always use Jordan Farmar as a starter. He is much, much faster and accurate than Fisher. I hope Phil Jackson is fired or quits next season. His butt hurts so much that he can't think straight. |
