Eva Camby, wife of Nuggets center Marcus Camby, gave birth May 9 to a premature daughter. Maya Camby, born at 24 weeks, weighed 1 pound, 5 ounces.

It was a trying summer for Camby. He turned down a USA Basketball camp invitation for the Olympic qualifier in order to be near his daughter.

Basketball is a TEAM sport. Every TEAM needs ROLE PLAYERS. Marcus is absolutely an above average team player who can fill a ROLE on a championship team. Besides that, his D is awesome! What don't some people see? If I was building a team through an expansion draft, Camby would make my short list. He is a baller.

Marcus Camby is highly overrated, because of his highly deceiving numbers. Yes, Camby averages 10 points, 11 rebounds, and 2 blocks, but when you actually see him play, you realize that he's a bench player, not a starter. First of all, he is a playoff choke artist. Pau Gasol treated him like he was a toothpick, in the low post and completely destroyed him to the point where Denver traded him for a second round pick. Secondly, he has poor shot selection. Despite being a below average shooter, he always settles for 15 footers. He has a slim frame that makes it easy for him to get scored on. He averages 2 blocks, because he can block point guards. However, you will never see him block a player that's above 6'5.

Marcus (Grant if you really know him) is a great guy.  I dated him starting in college.  I was at "The Hall" and he "UMASS." I am very proud of him and we will always be friends.  It is a shame that young ladies with low self-esteem would even post anything like that.  No one is going for it.  I know for a fact! why do you even keep marcus camby.  he's terrible, all he does is try to shoot his jumpers where he's like 10%, he's a terrible free throw shooter, he never dunks it down with authority, he airballs jumpers in the playoffs, he has blocks is one thing, but he doesn't even have good rebounding numbers for a big man.  he does this terrible underhook shot.
