Kobe, Vlad team up for charity
As you may know, many professional athletes are serious about giving back to their communities.
In addition to participating in the NBA’s mandated charitable events program, several players (including Kobe) have set up their own foundations to offer support and much-needed assistance to specific causes they hold dear to their hearts.
On November 6th, Vladimir Radmanovic held a special event for the Vladimir Radmanovic Children’s Foundation, which benefits displaced children in L.A. County and Serbia-Montenegro and provides them with vocational training programs, school supplies, health kits and much more.
The event – titled ‘Crossing Oceans for Children’ - was held at the Hidden Restaurant in Santa Monica, with Lakers broadcaster Spero Dedes emceeing the evening’s festivities.
In attendance were Lakers players Kobe Bryant and Luke Walton, as well as fans and business leaders from the Los Angeles area.
And in addition to enjoying a gourmet meal, live music and a dance performance by the Avala Folklore Ensemble, participants were treated to a silent auction filled with some very special items.
One of the featured auction items was a Kobe Bryant/L.A. Lakers gift bag, which included two signed photos of Kobe and an autographed basketball. Check it out:
Kobe and the Lakers do a ton of amazing charitable work locally, nationally and even abroad. It’s a tribute to their spirit of giving and to their desire to make a difference in communities around the globe.
Fans in L.A. should feel fortunate to have quality people like this to root for.

Of course, Kobe has a lot do with it also. It was Vladi's foundation but he was there to support and help the foundation as well. It was his signature that's being auctioned, hello....A lot of his teammates were there to support the foundation as well. It doesn't matter which or who to give credit to as long as everyone's willing to help.
Vivo foundation is still alive however, KB wasn't able to promote this during last summer because he took part in the olympics.
