Why did the Knicks get worse after acquiring Carmelo Anthony? The same reasons the Nuggets got better. Carmelo is good for 20-30 points per night for his team. Few guys in the league can do that consistently. Unfortunately for the Knicks, he is also directly responsible for the OTHER team scoring 30-40 points per night. His apathy on the defensive end, lack of attention to detail, and - let's just say it - his downright selfishness, will doom any team he's on to mediocrity. And he's the anti-Jordan; whereas MJ made others around him better, 'Melo actually makes those around him worse. Carmelo is the type of guy who would rather score 30 ppg on the worst team in the league than score 29.9 ppg and win a championship. It's ALL about Carmelo; always has been, always will be.

Knicks should be fine next year.  JR Smith & Steve Nash will round out the first string - the problem I see with the Knicks is the coach - I do not think he is the same league with the true championship coaches (I think that is the problem in Orlando, too)

Though the term "sucks" in relative in so many ways, I'll just have to say "yes, "CA" sucks"!  He's like a the greatest Broadway actor -- he knows all the lines, knows all the right people, knows the script, etc. But, the show will always flop because because he renames them all: The CA Show. NY made a bad move because CA dumbed "AS" down just as he was "stamping" the team with what little (but upcoming) leaderships skills he has. Kudos to AS for finally showing something, but he gave it up. He always acquiesced to someone else. Oh well, sad days ahead for "real" ball!!

Carmello is not a winner. He'll get 40 points with a loss, talk a big show but not show up for the big game. Hope Jim Dolan chokes on that silver spoon he was born with in his mouth - he had to make that deal even though Donnie Walsh and Mike D'Antoni (2 actual experts) disagreed. Looks like the George Steinbrenner of the 80's when he had to have every expensive free agent but gave him a team with no chemistry and no pennants.

asshole melo is smiling while he lost that game for his team, if he doesn't step up in this series he will be hated in NY for along time. looks like another great move by the Dolans, over paid, over rated dick. Playoffs show who the true superstars are, and melo is not one of them.
