Is anyone aware of any "scholarly work" done evaluating the movies directed by Ron Howard?

Ok, I've had enough of watching Ron Howard movies. I can't take it anymore. I just watched The Dilemma because my wife ordered it through NetFlix and it's really the only time of the week we have to spend together. It's really time for people to take a tougher stance on Hollywood and these crap directors, who get rich by taking your hard earned money for producing awful scripts that are created by a writers passing time on the shi**er. When was the last time your money was ever refunded for giving you such a terrible movie? They know that no matter what they put out there...they will always keep your money. And how about some of these sh*t actors/actresses who get rich of doing shi**y work just because they are the offspring or sibling of a much more talented famous person?  Juliette Lewis for example.  Or why does Clint Howard get little lame cameos in Ron's films???  Clint you suck.. face it !  Go get a labor job and quit having Opie take care of you all the time! I don't even care about the political agenda on this website.. I'm just here to tell people to wake the f**k up and quit letting these so-called Hollywood "entertainers" take all your hard earned money and give you crap in return. "We" are their BOSS and it's time you people start firing these egomaniacs. Do your homework and start BOYCOTTING their films no matter how good the trailer looks..that's where they get ya!. They are getting rich off your cinema, cabletv, and NetFlix accounts.. few dollars here..few dollars there. It all adds up for them  $$ !!

Hey stupid, it's entirely your business if you choose to believe everything Opie wants you to believe.  Don't try to squelch people's opinions that differ from yours.....and Opie's.  And your hysterical meanderings aside,  Hollywood does tend to push an ultra-liberal agenda.  Don't get all twisted when some people voice a dissenting viewpoint.  There are some pretty smart people out there who do not and will not have the opportunity to make films in order to support their political beliefs.  Then again, they were not born into a show-biz family like Opie was.

Reply-to:If you little critics hate Ron Howard so much, why dont YOU make a movie? Oh, yeah, thats right, you cant; YOU COMPLAIN TOO MUCH. FYI: Movies will NEVER be exactly like the book. SORRY. Howard has done a spectacular job with pretty much everything hes done. If you dont like him, why make a stupid little complaint page? How would you like it if someone had an I Hate (Insert Your Not so Famous Name Here)? Not so good, right? You are all so childish. And, by the way, judging him over HIS political opinions is almost as stupid as this website.

I have been a fan of Ron and Clint since they were little boys.  I'm directing this to Ron because he is the Director.  I would like to see Clint in a series playing a character similar as "Red" from "That 70s Show".  I've not seen Clint is such roles.  I can see him portraying an edgy family man.  How about it?   S. Lewis

If you gave Ron Howard, Quentin Tarantino and  Martin Scorcese a two thousand dollar budget and a Bell and Howell 8mm camera and then told them to  make a short film ( without any help ), it would be interesting to see what the assembled talent could produce. My guess is; Q and Marty would make a smart, watchable little film and Howard's would be pointless and unwatchable.

Re:  Frost/Nixon.  I lived through the original.  I don't need little Opie Taylor explaining it all to me in his helpful little way.

This nitwit should get over himself with his "aw shucks, but  I really am a genius" routine, and go away.  And take Oliver Stone and Michael Moore with you!!!

Perhaps Ron Howard should read the books he is basing his movies off of, prior to making them. Angels & Demons was nothing like the book and thus completely ruined it. Hopefully this jackass doesn't make the third installment (The Lost Symbol). If he does, I sure as hell won't go see it.

I have the most incredible concept for a movie that only someone like Ron Howard could create on a level equal to any fictional movie to date. I am not a play writer or an author, just someone who really has a wild imagination. How does one get an idea to Ron? I have discussed the concept of this movie with several friends and ALL have responded in such a way that it leads one to believe this movie could be something on a level with "Dances With Wolves" or other such major hits. Never have I read or seen anything like what I have created... it really would make one hell'uva movie!! Can anyone help to get this message to Ron Howard?
My e-mail address is surfsidelarry@bellsouth.net... hopefully someone who can help will take this seriously and make this happen.

Ron Howard's work is excellent. I just saw "Angels and Demon's" and I feel that it was very entertaining. Religious beliefs should have nothing to do with movies.

Every time you watch a Ron Howard, Henry Winkler, Steven Spielberg, or Steven Baldwin movie or TV show you are putting money in the pocket of the enemy. They then contribute to the politicians that confiscate your money. It is a simple process to find out the politics of your favorite entertainers. It does not good to vent about these socialists and communists and call them names.  If you really want to do some good and damage them at the same time just don't watch their crap entertainment. That will deny them the funds to live at your expense and change the will of the real Americans. Send this to your friends, start a web site to list these socialists and make public their money contributions to the party dedicated to the destruction of  America. Oh by the way Andy Griffith is also on my list of do not watch.
