Domestic violence should NEVER be condoned and excused. Batterers should be held accountable not only by the police/authorities but by the public. If they need help after being made to own up and pay for their violence, then get them help.

REAL MEN DON'T HIT WOMEN, under any circumstances. If she "hit him first", like some are trying to say (and which no one really knows), he should have simply been a man and walked away, called the police on her.
