I thought Clay took the Madonna joke in stride.

Unless I missed it, did both SB teams get shut out of all of the awards?

Kind of reminds me of Indianapolis when Peyton got injured. Both depending upon their QB's to win games.

Very true..  The Bears had a pretty good streak going, and then Cutler got hurt.  Hanie was well on his way to ruining the teams chances at the playoffs, and when Forte went out injured, I knew it was over.

The only reason the Bears didnt' make the playoffs was because Cutler and Forte got hurt. Next year when they both are playing the Bears wll make a run for the title
Hey Soph June, I live in Chicago and I'm a Bears fan too. I'm definitely NOT a Packers fan, but I do like Clay Matthews and can respect this football skills. And I agree with the poster who said that the Packers/Bears rivalry is pretty respectful. I think i remember Aaron Rodgers saying he likes playing against Brian Urlacher and that Urlacher is a pretty funny guy when they're on the field together.

That's awesome. I can respect that. I think with both teams, they're respectful of one another and don't take the rivalry too seriously. It's not fun, however, when some of the fans on both sides go overboard with it by insulting one another. I hope, with the GM and Mike Martz gone from the team, that the Bears can truly compete with the Pack next season. It'll be great to watch.

From what I have seen, the Packers/Bears rivalry is a lot more respectful than other rivalries in the league.   Actually, all animosity that I have seen is due to fans.. not the teams themselves.

I dont know it just seems to me that there is anomosity between the two teams but maybe like you said i am mistaking it just as a rivalry between two teams in the divison. I know the JEts and Pats and the Ravens and Steelers dont like each other
I like the Packers too and I live in the Chi-town area. I also happen to be a Bears fan. There's no rules saying that you can't support both teams. And who says that the teams don't like each other just because they have the longest rivalry in football?

It's just a game.

I feel bad for you living in Chicago and being a Packers fan. I am sure you get plenty of flack for that especially since the two teams dont' really like each other. Good for you to stand up for you beliefs.
