Larry Mayer's  Chalk Talk:

Is the NFL issuing a fine for the hit that Jay Cutler took on his chin against the Browns?

Dan H.
Dayton, Ohio

Yes, the NFL fined linebacker Kamerion Wimbley $7,500 for his illegal hit on Bears quarterback Jay Cutler in last Sunday’s game. Wimbley drew a 15-yard roughing-the-passer penalty for a vicious helmet-to-chin hit. The penalty came on a third-down incompletion, sustaining a drive that culminated in the Bears’ first touchdown of the game. The hit caused Cutler to bite his tongue, opening a cut that bled into the fourth quarter. Asked for his reaction to Wimbley’s fine, Cutler said: “It doesn’t help me out any. He might lose a little bit of money, but that’s how it goes.”

The newspapers do not know and I doubt that Jay will tell the papers anything.  Jay doesn't have alot of respect for sports writers and I don't blame him.  If the O line doesn't start giving Jay better protection he will not make it through the season without a bad injury.  He keeps getting up and making jokes about the sacks but you can tell that he is hurting.  What happened to the offensive line?

Ok sorry to change the subject. I know what this board is and what it's about, so I don't want to hear any lectures about finding somewhere else to go. Has anyone on here seen paranormal activity?

By interception huh? I don't think it would be called an interception unless you were playing in the football game.

Jay Cutler is like the Zeus of the QBs.

He is better than Montana, Elway, Marino and BOTH Mannings combined.

You will pray to him at the altar of Cutler.

And is premadomia a medical condition we should be worried about?

He should've disclosed this to the Bears before they gave him so much money.

any of you that think cutler would listen to McDaniels are idiots Cutler is thinks he is great without being great. Could not handle a couch yelling at him in practice like Orten can to get better because Cutler already thinks he is great Cutler is a premadomia and has a fat head not a team player.

Cutler cost Shanahan his job, now he will cost Lovie Smith his job. He is a career loser. The only reason anyone put 'franchise' in front of his name was because he went to the pro-bowl one time, and most people agree that Philip Rivers should have been there not Cutler. And had Tom Brady not been injured he would have been in the pro-bowl, not Cutler. So, considering the fact that Cutler should never have been in the Pro-Bowl to start with and he has a career losing record (college and NFL), how could anyone call him a 'franchise' quarterback? Oh he did have a winning record in high school, about as far as his maturity level progressed.

He will be 30 when that contract expires. That is pretty smart. He will be a multi millionaire by the time he is 30, and can basically retire after that.

Jay is a terrible QB and I'm very relieved he's not with the Broncos anymore, but I will give him credit. He's smart enough to have coaxed the Bears into a long-term contract before they knew how bad he sucked.  Bad QB but smart guy.

He has had bad games before, but I think this one is a big deal because he just signed that huge contract.

This was actually the first game where he was bad.

What the hell happened to the rest of the team? We're talking a complete meltdown of the team from the top to the bottom.

The O-line was nonexistant, and I think the D was on vacation.

Worst Bears game in a long time. And it was not all on Jay. The hybrid son of god dam Payton Manning and Brett Favre would've had a bad game with those bums as team mates.

WOW!! I know that the Bears just might really suck, but isn't Cutler supposed to make them better and not worse?? The golden boy is a cry baby and has the maturity level of an infant! I am so glad he is out of Denver! Orton is a much better fit, with 1 INT, not 10!!!

Haha Hell yea, Jay Cutler is baller status. Who in their right mind would rather be homeless and poor than be the starting quarterback of an NFL team? That guy must be a virgin.

Youd rather be poor than suck like cutler?! Hahaha! youd rather be poor than be a pro athlete with a 30 million dollar NFL contract? Yeah? Well you have got to be one of the dumbest humans on the face of the earth, and whats this cancer crap? The only ones who dont like him are the Bronco fans. Hes been a good teammate to the Bears and they all love him. They just arent a good team.
