You are blessed Michael. I know you might not read this but I would like you to know how much you mean to me at this point in my life. I have followed your career from your frist year at Old Miss and was very happy when Baltimore got you in the 2009 Draft. Then the movie The Blind Side came out WOW. What can I say. Like you I was born in to a family that did not care I was booted out at the age of 12 years old my step father thought I was able to take care of my self at that age and My Mother never stepped in to help me but I guess thats life. But you know I did it went to high school and 4 years of collage ( U of O ) Go Ducks. But my hats off to you my friend God Bless And from the looks of things there are lot of love out there coming your way.

I've watched the movie I read the book micheal oher is the best football player ever if u have a chance checkout the website the markham raiders.com then go to peewee roster it will say ortali vasili if u scroll down to o number 46 I am defensive nose tackle good luck tommorow I won't catch your game cause I have my own against the clarington tiger cats at 11:30 and after I have and after party cause after the game tomorow we have the playoffs. I just read an article that has Michael Oher reporting that he was a little upset with Lewis (apparently the author the same highschool apparently)  who wrote the book, because Michael Oher was portrayed as so dumb and unresponsive, when in reality Oher made the honor roll in 2006. Oher said that he believed this was done to sell books (make money). What a shame that Lewis resorted to this kind of thing just to sell books. I am glad that Oher had the guts to speak out about it just a bit. I wish he would say more and REPEAT IT MANY TIMES, just here and there. I also want to know more from him about what other lies were told in the book and movie, just to sell and make money.

I am a person who is so happy to see some Christian people taking a chance and opening up their homes and hearts to people like Michael Oher from dire poverty and situations like he was in, to love them and help them learn to believe in themselves and find out who they are and what they want and want to be and to help them develop themselves emotionally, mentally and spiritually. I know that Michael Oher was just BEHIND, in some areas, some areas more than others, simply because of the situation he was in and the situation he grew up in, and this society and its history of mistreating black people. Michael Oher, and others like him may not even be fully aware of just how much society and the history of our society played a party in why he was behind in some areas. All needed to do was to "catch up", and learn to believe in himself and know that he can Do anything.  The Love from the Tuoy's and other's who have been loving to him along the way, is something that only made it easier for him to get there. The answer is LOVE. I am so proud of Michael Oher and the Tyou's..

You know what is really cool and special about Michael Oher to me?. He seems to exudes kindness and sweetness and love in his ways. I hope he recognizes this and never change. It is what our world needs to see is something that can be found in not only him but also in ALLOT of the boys and girls who come out of those neighborhoods you grew up in. These are the children who desperate;ly need to be given a break and taken in and cared for and loved, and taught to believe in themselves, so that they too will not go down the wrong path and so they will realize that "anything is possible" WITH GOD.

My name is Kerry Calvert. I am a recovering addict. I come from the streets. I just watched the movie BlindSide and  wanted to tell Michael Oher how truly happy I am for him. I believe, I truly believe, that all it takes is a little love to make it. I finally found people who showed me how to love, how to love myself(still working on that one) and how to believe in myself. I have been clean for almost 18 months. I now have my Mature Grade 12 Diploma. I now work for the City and am continuing my studies in the fall. I am not looking for a pat on the back. All I want is to give you a pat on the back and to tell you, you did it !!! Way to go, I'm proud of you. I hope this message finds you Michael and I hope your story reaches the lives of still suffering souls as an inspiration that anyone can make it out, all you need is love.
