How terrible. I was sick when I heard the news today. This sounds like it could be similar to what happened to Lyman Bostock almost exactly 30 years ago. Bostock was an outfielder for the California Angels and had just played a game the night he was murdered. He was riding in the backseat of a car beside a woman, when that woman's sociopathic estranged husband pulled up beside the car and shot inside. Players - don't assume that just because you're with a woman, that you're safe. You don't know what riff-raff that woman has in her life waiting to rob you and/or smoke you into oblivion (if she doesn't do it herself). No p*ssy is worth your life. |

| Right now shouldn't be about whether Richard will play again. It is a matter of him surviving. People are mostly good and have compassion for a situation like this. Those with negative intentions have moved on, as this is a time for support. Continue to keep Richard in your prayers and well wishes. |

Jacksonville Jaguars offensive tackle Richard Collier was shot early Tuesday morning in Jacksonville, Florida.
What on earth is going on? He’s the third NFL player to be shot in the past 18 months. Washington Redskins player Sean Taylor was killed during a burglary of his home in Miami in November last year. Broncos player Darrent Williams was killed when he was shot in a rented limo after a New Year’s Eve part at a Denver nightclub at the beginning of 2007. Collier, 26, who stands 6-7 and weighs 345 pounds, was shot multiple times and is now said to be in critical condition at Shands Jacksonville Medical Center. The shooting took place at approximately 2:45 a.m. in a middle class neighborhood west of downtown Jacksonville. Collier and a pal, former Jaguars player Kenneth Pettway, were in a car outside an apartment building, waiting for a woman (or women) to meet them, when gunfire broke out |

After reading the blogs posted I've come to realize that the people making negative posts have nothing else better to do with their time. Rather than being so interested in the life of someone you don't know....get a life of your own. Not saying whether or not I know him personally, but either way his personal life is just that...PERSONAL. If he wants the public to know the details of his life, I'm sure he will make it known.
