I just watched you on CNN.  As an educator, I want to say thank you for giving back to the community.  Your educational program will not only help students financially, but it will provide training and mentoring support that is essential in giving them a chance to succeed in life.

My heart is broken by the injustices I see and how so many students, with potential, aren't given opportunities to excel.  It really does take a village.  You're a strong black man who have overcome obstacles.  God brought you through so that you can give back.  May his blessing be on you. 

I too give back and I'm working hard to reach students at an early age.  Our high school football team holds the title of most state championships in their division for the state of NC.  Jerome Simpson and Nay Brown graduated from Reidsville High.  Yet, you'd be surprised at the number of outstanding athletics who didn't have the grades to get in college.  It's ok for them to rake in money for the school but yet there's no money going out to create programs to reach our students in the early years of education.  Everyone wants to blame parents. 

I'd love to work with an organization that will desire strategic ways of helping our students as well as provide funding to make it happen.
