I think Aaron is an elite QB with the potential to be even better. I think he is HOF material. Even when the Pack was 6 and 10 his stats were good. He will be like Steve Young is to Joe Montana. Our schedule next year looks easy except we play the Giants and the Niners

Reply-to: LOLOLOLOL.  Last year the Superbowl, let alone the MVP was NOT important.  The important thing was to have a winning record in the season.  But of course, that is NOT important this year since they got it.  But youre NOW gonna say whats the point of having a winning record if they dont get to the big game.  But, then we have to go back to last year, when actually got to the big game, but then it wasnt important, because well, because they got it.  So, its really pointless to even have a conversation with you, lame hater, because whatever Aaron Rodgers achieves, you immediately say its meaningless.  If they win the SB, its not important, if they dont win SB, THEN it becomes important, and so on.  And the MVP was not decided at the beginning of the season, you just want everyone to believe that (or actually the two people who come to this board), simply because Rodgers got it.  Again, whatever he gets, it has no meaning to you, no matter what that is.  So who cares, hes the season MVP, eat it and puke it if you cant stand it haha.

Are you a hyena?

First of all, I wasn't on here last year, so all of your argument manipulation about last year vs. this year has nothing to do with anything I said.

My post had nothing to do with last year's Superbowl - it was more just pointing out how silly it is to try to claim that regular season MVP is the most important award in football.  It's not.  Winning the Superbowl is.

The Packers won that last year as a TEAM, and that team carried Rodgers.  He'd be nothing without a good team carrying him.  They showed how important he is to the team when Flynn played instead of him, and the team looked better without him.  That just goes to show what a joke the MVP award was this year.  Rodgers is a mediocre QB being carried by a good team.  Last year that team carried him all the way to a championship, but that just makes him lucky - not good.  But sometimes it's better to be lucky than good, so he's got that going for him...

Well, actually, if you had any reading comprehension, you'd have seen that I said the Packers (not just Rodgers) played badly.  Rodgers does always crumble when his team isn't carrying him, though, and that game was no exception.

And as much as you'd like to believe that his MVP award (which was decided before the season even started, making it completely meaningless) is the most important award, it's not.  The most important award is actually going to be won tonight - and that's another Superbowl ring.

So I hope you enjoyed your NFL posterboy getting thrown a bone last night.  All the real winners from this season will be out on the field tonight.

Reply-to:Aaron is as good as they get. End of story.                                     SPORTMAN

That would be true if it weren't not true.

Reply-to:Oh yeah, i forgot that for you Rodgers is the one you blame when they lose.  But who cares, you dont count, he got the most important award last night: MVP.  Hes got the others last year.  So, hes done it all.  You dont credit him? Too bad.  Deal with it.

Well, it's also a pretty stupid statement to say each these teams is only in the superbowl because of a single play, while disregarding the rest of the season.  However, if we're just talking about the postseason, let's not forget that another big reason the Giants are in the superbowl is because the Packers didn't play well and Rodgers completely crumbled without his team carrying him.

Reply-to:The Patriots are in the Super Bowl because the Ravens missed a field goal.  The Giants are in the Super Bowl because Williams fumbled the ball in overtime and was caught by a Giant player.  In other words, the two teams playing in the SB this year are there because of luck.  Not because they were the better team.  The fact that you hate Rodgers and are happy not to see him there doesnt make the Giants and the Patriots good teams.  Thats a stupid statement.

This year's Super Bowl should be like a real one, not like the one last year with mediocre players and teams.   The good teams last year were beating each other, and the first thing you know, mediocre teams were vying for the Super Bowl championship,  that happens sometimes through a fluke, but fortunately, not often.  and yes, i agree with you, it will be great to see outstand qbs in the Super Bowl this year.

It feels great to see anyone but rodgers in the Super Bowl

I think the Packers should trade Rodgers and get alot of good draft picks. I can see Flynn starting at QB

I agree. Flynn should be the starting QB and Aaron the backup

i dont think the pack will let flynn go after the postseason fiasco.  it should have opened their eyes.   pack should reconsider starting flynn next year.  every time flynn has gotten a chance, he has performed well.

Any chance that Philbin will take Matt Flynn with him to Miami

what happened to aaron after the loss to the giants in the packs first postseason game??  its like he disappeared off the face of the earth.  most players still show interest in the postseason if they are not a part of it, but no comments or anything that i have seen from aaron.  maybe he is taking the loss really hard.

unfortunately, we need to let go of brett, as great as he was with comeback victories and everything else.  he buckled under pressure from his vikings teammates and came back one more year, injuries and all.  he should have retired after that one great year with the vikings and not tried to play with those injuries, as much as he loves the game.  so we need to let him enjoy his retirement and hope to replace aaron with another qb, sooner rather than later.
