Give me a break. You obviously love Ben, and therefore seem to rationalize and justify his behavior as opposed to the behavior of other professional athletes. All athletes have to deal with the things he deals with, and he willingly goes out into public and embraces his stardom. He enjoys all of the benefits, like sitting in a VIP room and having women go through a screening process to come sit on his lap (I wonder what the criteria are for getting through?). |

I think Ben might just have a jekyl and hyder personality. Its either that's how he is, or maybe the concussions, or maybe all the adulation. Going back to high school. I remember in the Sports Illustrated article last September in which Ben (at least on my copy) was on the cover. And yes I still have the magazine, because I just like the cover because it shows his pretty green eyes. He said in part describing crazy fans (and actually the other quarterbacks gave examples of their experiences too) said that people don't treat them as human, like they (the football players) don't eat regular food, don't walk on the ground, etc. and people are always driving by his house taking pictures. I don't care who you are, that would wear on you day in day out and if that has been going on for the last 6 years, I would probably be a jerk a lot of the time too. And when you live in a mid-size football crazy town like Pittsburgh, even the most patient person is going to go off. I don't get that Ben is the most patient, except on a football field. Maybe the upside to all this, will be that he won't be so adored and people won't come up to him as much and he can treat people better because they aren't always in his space. See, I believe that its the adults who go crazy that drive him nuts not the kids, but after a while he lashes out at kids, because they are at the wrong place at the wrong time when in reality, he should rather be lashing out at the adults. Even reporters, critical of Ben, have said that adults need to change the way that they behave around these athletes. Also, in another article I remember that Ben's father spoke about how once they went into a Home Depot store to buy some things and then all of a sudden, there was a bunch of people who came in with footballs for him to sign. And they don't sell footballs in Home Depot. As for the case, I'm thinking like Jeff, (Rachel, you be good to him, he sounds like a keeper) he's not going to be charged, and it will turn into a civil matter. There is just too much mush in this case, (like the witness who said that he was sitting right outside of the VIP area and said that there were two security guys by the bathroom and so if something had happened going in or out, that would have been noticed) and too many holes for a prosecutor (even a great one) to bring into this matter and like a said before, this case would be very expensive to try, so it better be a slam dunk for them to prosecute. But, I do think, however, that when the time comes and they make the announcement, the DAs office will make a statement that will be very inflamatory towards Ben to help the girl out in the civil case. Sometimes that's how DAs, who don't have enough to prosecute a case, but belive a crime has been committed show their cards. |

I am a die hard Steelers fan and have been for 40 years but Ben is a moron. I cant wait unitl the Rooney family comes to there senses and trades this idiot. The Steelers are better off without him. He has now become a huge distraction with his childish and moronic behavior, not to mention tarnishing the image of a great organization.

All jokes aside, maybe the Steelers should hire their own little
"secret service" to keep an eye on Big Ben. The guy has no control over
his behavior and is always up to some kind of sexual debauchery. They
need to accept that is just "Ben being Ben" and take precautions. On
the other hand, it is better for me personally if Big Ben keeps on
getting into shit so strike what i just said.

Roethlisberger is white trash. Its becoming more and more evident the only way he can get some is if he rapes them. But in his defense its probably becuase hes not very good looking. If he had the looks of Tom Brady, Tony Romo, Aaron Rodgers then he wouldnt have to worry about having to rape chicks, they would raping him.

He needs to stop hanging out with little high school & college girls and fnd a grown woman. These accusations are the result of immaturity & stupidity on th part of Ben and the female accusers. He's a great QB but a typical dumbass guy when he's out and about. I hope the stories about him aren't true but I'm starting to think that where there's smoke, there's fire.

Ben is very generous. He comes back to his home town of Findlay, oh with some of his buddies and plays the local High School basketball teams and donates $100.00 for each basket he makes to our sports dept. He has done other things, monetary for our town. Please keep us proud of you Ben. And I may just fix you up with a great gal.
