I Totally agree, casey has lived next door to me in Michigan during the footbal season for 4 years now. I think he's just the most well adjusted sincere down to earth person you will ever meet, let alone an NFL player. His wife Allison is also the sweetest thing on earth...she is a part time mentor to troubled kids here and has taken my kids to concerts and just been the nicest nieghbor in the world! |

Casey is quite the American man in addition to being a professional athlete. I learned this when he came to Kodiak, AK after being invited by his Father-In-Law, Willy Frank, a long-time friend of mine to experience the fabulous fishing of Kodiak Island. Casey stayed at my house, we fished from dawn to dusk together (he's a fly fishing addict, like me), ate fresh caught Alaska salmon and halibut, and just had lots of fun. Casey is quite humble, he didn't speak of his accomplishments at 8-man football in Montana high school football, excellence at Carroll College, nor his professional career as a Lions player unless I asked him. He didn't brag about TV time, touchdown catches, or other highlights, but rather emphazised a rigorous work schedule, time in the gym conditioning, and the physical pain experienced on the field and after the game. Casey has his priorities straight for life as a player and afterwords and is the type of player parents should hope their children admire. |
