Get off Meagans nutz and stop hating..shes put herself in a position that a lot of yall can only dream about. She's making her own money so she can live comfortably and not depend on a man, and shes in a happy relationship with a man with a great career.  Whatever she has said or done in the past is not grounds for anyone to judge her.  Only God can judge so get a life ladies, for real.

Good point - I forgot about the "adrenaline rush" aspect to all of this. 

But how old is Megan now?  Shouldn't she be at the age where she's growing out of this?

And you know, Thomas Jones isn't a "true" thug, anyway.  He may have all of the tattoos and embrace certain parts of the "bling" culture, but he had a very solid upbringing.

In a way, Thomas is doing the same thing Megan is doing - crafting a persona and living a lifestyle that is surprisingly different from the way he grew up.  The way they're "flossing" now - looking at the camera all hard as if they're Mr. and Mrs. Nino Brown - is a 180-degree shift from their lives growing up.

Ironically, perhaps her experiences growing up suburban, and the way she processed these experiences - has led to her ghetto-fabulousness. I don't know why I remember this - but I remember some interview/article where she mentioned being discriminated against - being treated more harshly than her white friends/classmates - by a racist elementary-school teacher when they were caught doing "girly" things. For her to mention this in an interview several years later may mean that this cut deeply and left an imprint on her. It could have been a damaging, defining experience - where she began to see that no matter what, or no matter who her friends were, she'll always be seen in a more negative light by some people. Maybe this is when she started distancing herself more from "whiteness" and started identifying more with a "black" identity.

But does Megan have to take it this far? I think she might suffer from low self-esteem underneath the "hood dimepiece" facade.

Megan never grew up in the hood so its a head scratcher as to why she acts like shes straight outta compton.

Yeah - I've scratched my head over this, too.  Didn't I read at one point where she was talking about how she grew up in a predominately "white" area?  She has a pretty suburban background, I believe.  She kind-of reminds you of Lauren London's character in The ATL, huh?
