Great article Anon Vet. Thanks for posting! I didn't even kno Sopel adopted a teenager at all actually! All this is just making me even more sad that he won't be wearing a Hawks jersey next season :(

Another article about the parade. Also, Brent and his wife did adopt three years ago but not a young child. According to the article, Paul was 17 at the time and, unfortunately, his parents passed away within 6 months of each other. It lists his children as 20, 12, 8, and 6.

I felt badly for him after his interview. He did say that his family is staying here and he will be retiring in Chicago. Pretty cool!

I love that he's letting his family stay here and that he loves it so much, he wants to retire here!! :) I'm still so sad to see him go. I hope he has an amazing career with the Thrashers :(
