Well I agree hockey players are no different than the rest of us and have bad days, I don't like reading or even thinking that he is not a nice guy as he just seems so sweet. I can't imagine he doesn't have a girlfriend, he is quite a catch, if he wants to be caught.

i know everyone has bad days...i totally get that and its probably been true on a few occasions... but i've heard a number of stories about Brooks being less than nice. and many of them are at team events...so he should fully expect to do autographs at those things. idk that's part of the job. that's all i'm saying...

I don't think he's a jerk to fans.. I met him in Boston (while I was wearing a Bruins shirt, no less) and he was a total sweetheart to me.. kinda shy and humble, but very nice.. perhaps he had a bad practice or something the day he was mean? I've met Bruins after their practices when they're moody too...

He is a really nice guy and I don't think fame is going to his head. Sometimes people have unreal expectations of famous people but the truth is they are just normal people. They all have bad days and things that may be are more important to them then signing a jersey. Maybe he just feels like he doesn't need to be treated like a celebrity that he is just a regular guy who happens to be good at hockey.

Haha, I think the same thing sometimes. I used to meet so many of the Caps (Bondra, Gonchar, Oates, Halpern) and get autographs/pics - the guys were totally cool and fun to talk to. Now it's tough... which I don't blame them seeing as how chaotic it's gotten.

Does anyone know if the team was leaving for NJ right after practice? Maybe that is why he didn't want to do pictures? I know sometimes players don't love to take pictutres b/c it takes forever and once you give one picture everyone wants one. Not saying this was the case here...he could just be a douche.

my friend and I were waiting outside for him to sign our jerseys and he completely blew off all these little kids and we asked him if he would take a pic with us and he replied "no pictures". then he reluctantly signed our shirts then grabbed the pen out of my hand to sign someone elses. idk I mean he wasn't terribly rude but he definitely seemed pissed off and the kids seemed upset
