Lupul has matured a lot since his Philly days. His injury that almost ended his career has made him greatful for what he has. I actually think Lupul might be a good influence on Carter- but I don't see the trade happening. His contract is too long

Don't blame Philly for "hurting" Jeff or Richie. They hurt themselves and they know their behavior in the lockerroom and off the ice in Philly as does everyone else. When you are leaders and won't sign the contract to not drink for a month when the rest of the team signs it then screw them.....they got what they deserve and never saw it coming. They thought they were locked in and the Flyers are doing just great without them!

I agree with you vet. He probably does want to be traded, but at this point it's out of his hands, so suck it up and play hard for your team mates and fans. If he plays hard, he'll also put more stock in his trade value, I suppose. It's hard to get a feel for how he is really cuz he's so quiet and thus I think it's easy for ppl to say this and that about him. Having said all that I think it's also easier for Richie to be happy cuz look where he is. Location aside, he's on a 'winning team'. Columbus, as an organization, looks like a mess. So, in some ways I can sympathize w/ Jeff. I hate losing, so I can only imagine the toll it takes on him on top of everything that has already happened.

Really? I know someone who played hockey w/ him for 5 years or so and he said Jeff is not a Leafs fan and is "a weird guy". Lol. Granted it was a long time ago (when he was in his teens probably. Whatever the case, I'm sure he'd take it over Columbus. No offense to Columbus.

I think alot of teams are not going to give up that much to acquire Carter, he is not worth what he used to when playing in Philly. There's more negative things about him right now than positive. The good thing is that he's playing on Friday in Anaheim wonder if he visited his buddy.

I actually remember seeing an interview of his saying he was a huge Leafs fan growing up (as well as Jays!) and his fave was #93! :)

Kadri was never a Leafs fan, he is a Habs fan (according to his cousin) and Habs fans totally hate the Leafs so if Kadri can do it, Carter can especially since it's not Ohio and it's a super hockey market. I hope he doesn't screw up Lupul's game though

Carter needs to go to a team where he'd be happy. I think the Leafs would be good for him but I can say that it would be good for the Leafs. Big contract, injury prone, and not to mention bad attitude.
