Avery is just a snarky douche on the ice but he's a nice person with good values and morals OFF the ice. That's a fact. His gay marriage PSA is a little proof of that. And if you've met him outside of hockey you would agree.

I mean I was in Boston when Boston played the Rangers and Dallas (when he was in Dallas) and Avery got his ass kicked by every player on the Bruins including little guy Marc Savard who usually always runs away from fights too. It was pretty funny to see Avery get tossed like a little doll. Avery is a little too fashion forward for a guy also. I mean Avery even always has accessories on.... I mean one might say the same about Tom Brady, but Tom doesnt wear skinny jeans......Avery definitely exhibits some homo characteristics.

he is friendly with another homo on the buffalo sabres team, none of them can come out as queer because the other team members would never go along with it

I seen that! I remember it was 4-20 and I was getting blazed up watching that game. I still find it funny how he tries to act like he likes women. The secret is out on this guy. He would have had a much better career ha he dealt with his sexuality issues in an honest way. He could have been the first active pro athlete to come out. I don`t think anyone would really care.

oh my did someone just say avery is a hell of a hockey player and can back up his mouth? hahaha.

1st you are wrong on saying he is a hell of a hockey player. avery is not great, he's not bad. basically avery is not anything special and i do believe the reason he was waived is because there were better options. if avery could focus more on hockey instead of his social game maybe he would have sticked in the NHL.

secondly he can back up anything. i was at a game in boston when he played the bruins and he was running his mouth non-stop, slashed thomas off the head with his stick and basically got his ass kicked all night by all the bruin players. it had to be embarassing for him. ference kicked the sh*t out of him and even little marc savard kicked the sh*t out him!

That's funny but mean. I think someone will pick him up next year. He might play over in Europe for a year or a team will pick him up...but who is the question. Rumors say Edmonton. I don't think he's too worried. A lot of NYR fans seem to be upset about Avery getting waived. I guess they said he looked good in training camp but Torts just doesn't like him. Personally I think Torts canned Avery because he's friends with Richards and Torts doesn't want Avery distracting Richards or turning him into a party boy.....

Instead of chirping players all the time he should focus on his play....it may actually help the Rangers make the playoffs for a change! But then again all the Ranger players are little sh*t talking homos it seems like. They won't get far with the type of players that are on that team. You need CHARACTER guys to make it far. But maybe with Richards on the team now...he might be able to make a difference and might have a positive impact on the guys...

And really do you think what Avery says affects players? Pleeeeease. They are grown ass men, talented hockey players who laugh off talentless unskilled big mouth a$$holes like Avery who have to resort to pathetic tactics to try to throw off other hockey players because their game on the ice can't!
