Always fun to watch on the ice, always chirpping at the other team, and always willing to follow it up with the fists if it comes to that

Cody McLeod is the man. He is a breath of fresh air in today’s “New NHL.” The new NHL is slowly withered out many of the NHL’s tough guys. The tenosity that he brings to games is fun for all. Avalanche fans cheer him on as he lands a huge check, drops the gloves for an intertaining fight or even just agetate the other team by all means. On the other hand, the opposing fans have someone to direct their malice at. For example, a few years ago Brad May played for the Canucks and he kept mocking the Avalanche goalie every time he got scored on. Was it a classy move, no, but it made the game exciting. I hated Brad May, but next time the Avs played the Canucks I made sure I was watching. When Brad May was on the ice was the most exciting time because I was cheering for the Avs to hit him hard. I did not like May, but he made the game fun to watch. That is what Cody does. The NHL needs more like him and less like Scott Mclean. He is a solid 3rd liner, but who knows his name? What does he do exciting. Cheers to Cody McLeod. |
