Reply-to:coming from someone who has been around in the Red Wing Org. he does not know how to skate or play his position, does not use the big body of his. over rated, and does not compare to any other players the red wings have by far the worst player on the team.

"worst player on the team".  you can't be serious.  hudler and bert have to be on the list of "worst" so far this season.  and zetterberg, who we all still love, has been a let down so far, to say the least. heck, even my boy cleary isn't having the year he's supposed to be having.  and don't even get me started on what a waste of a salary commodore's contract is.  there are a lot of wings that are inconsistent or not skating well.  i wouldn't put E at the top of that list at all.

does E make mistakes?  yes.  has he produced as much as he has in the past?  not so far.  but his game is improving.  he's taking more shots and trying to become a more offensive defenseman.  it's tough on a guy when he's trying too hard to impress or do too much. plus, i think he has heart, and that goes a long way with this organization.  which, if you really are "around the org", you already know that.

Report: The Red Wings agree to terms with Jonathan Ericsson. Numbers not confirmed but believed to be three years at around $9.75M total.

he's been taking a lot of shots lately, so i was glad to see one go in for him on sunday.  and too bad zetterberg got his stick on the puck last, otherwise he would have been credited with an assist. 

i, for one, hope they re-sign him at the end of the season.  he's developing well and has a lot of potential.

do you really think he's in the top 100 in the whole NHL for +/- just by accident?  remember, he's one of the only guys on the team that fights anymore, so some of those minutes are well earned roughing or fighting penalties.  don't think so, ask steve ott.

Reply-to:Nice fan forum.  Ericsson is becoming one of the best defensement on the team.  Why do you think he has almost the most ice time every single night.  I think theres a lot that he does that you dont even notice because youre not familiar enough with how the game is played.  Educate yourselves before you make such ridiculous comments.

Reply-to:Ericsson needs to learn to skate backwards and pivot. He is easily the worst skater Ive seen in the NHL in a long time. Enjoy the paycheck!

do you kno how to skate? do you kno how to pivot? are you in the NHL? befor you talk any smack, be in the NHL, and look as good as ericsson.

I like Jonathan Ericsson:  So is good being a Hockey player and I can what to meet in person and tell him that I am a fan of his.  I also wan't to date a hockey player.
