TMZ, an Internet gossip site, is reporting: A former Baywatch babe claims her NHL star husband tricked her into signing divorce papers -- and it was all to screw her out of her share of his multimillion dollar contract. According to the lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, Anjelica Bridges claims Edmonton Oilers defenseman Sheldon Souray got her to fall back in love with him after a year long separation -- then coerced her into signing divorce papers by saying they just needed a fresh start. Anjelica claims it wasn't until after she signed the papers she found out about Sheldon's new $27,000,000 contract -- but by then it was too late to claim her share. The "Baywatch" star now wants $14 million for "special" damages -- plus the $18,000 a month she already gets for child support. It's important to note that these are Bridges' allegations, this is just one side of it, Souray has addressed none of this, and none of this has been proven in court. This should be right at the front of your mind when thinking about this case. This is a dispute over millions of dollars, with kids sadly in the middle of it, clearly a terrible mess, but a big and ugly fight is not uncommon for a divorce dispute, and these things are often resolved in a fair manner in due time. One thing for sure, with all this stress and drama going on in his personal life, it's hard to imagine this won't have some impact on Sheldon Souray the hockey player. He's clearly got far more to worry about than his injury and his comeback. Good luck to him, and to Bridges, in resolving this with the best interests of their kids in mind. On her Facebook page, and in U.S. publications, Bridges makes all kinds of allegations against Souray, including that he is threatening to keep their two daughters with him in Canada. She writes, "The ex is threatening to not return the children and keeping them in Canada. I need some help with this. He has gone crazy!!! I feel like I am in a living nightmare." She then goes on to expound in dramatic fashion about her fears, saying she's afraid for her life, and to make other allegations against Souray. There's also a report from John Katsilometes of the Las Vegas Sun newspaper, a major daily newspaper, on this matter. Bridges has left her Las Vegas adult revue show, "Fantasy," Katsilometes writes. Show producer Anita Mann said that child-custody issues surfaced between Bridges and her ex-husband, Souray, that prevented Bridges from fulfilling her commitment to perform. Mann said Bridges drove back to Los Angeles to address custody issues centering on her two daughters, who are ages 6 and 2. The dispute apparently has something to do with Bridges' work schedule and her appearing nude-to-semi-nude in her new Las Vegas show. Celebrity writer Robin Leach recently wrote of the show, "Angelica joins five new dancers for the show that will feature eight new routines -- all to celebrate its 10th anniversary with a brand new look starting tomorrow. Does Angelica go topless in the show? I can only advise that until you go see the show for yourself that she has three songs for three wardrobe changes, but each eye-popping outfit is even more revealing than the last! The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that Bridges did not go topless in the show. Leach wrote that Bridges was also set to jet to Los Angeles to shoot a new Playboy cover and pictorial layout for the February issue. “The last cover I did for Playboy was November 2001, so I’ve changed a bit since then -- a lot of change, actually,” Bridges told Leach, who added that on Oct. 31, her own rock band Strawberry Blonde, in which she is the lead vocalist, would open for Lady Gaga at Hugh Hefner’s Playboy Mansion Halloween party. Said Leach, "Angelica, a former Baywatch beauty, is one smoking redhead who is proud to be 35 years old with vital statistics of 34D-24-34 and 120 pounds. She stands 5’8” with blue-green eyes, and as the single mother of two young children, I nominate her for the Cougar of the Year Award (although maybe she’s a little too young to be considered a cougar yet)!" On his website, Vegasdeluxe.com, Leach is now reporting more details about the dispute with Souray. "Angelica’s departure does indeed have everything to do with the custody battle. She was ordered to return to L.A. immediately or lose her children, so she packed up her belongings at the Luxor this afternoon and is distraught and heartbroken." On Twitter, Leach adds, "(Anjelica) said : "I am devastated. I've been crying the last day.I never thought I'd be forced to choose like this. ... I have got to get out of this fog today, I cant let my life be crushed and ruined." Souray has the couple's two little daughters in Canada, Leach wrote. "His lawyer advised the kids wouldn't be returned until she showed proof to Family Court judge that she had resigned from the Luxor (hotel) show." Bridges told Leach: "The battle has been going on for a long time-not new. I can fight emotional, verbal abuse but to put children in middle is lowest of low." |

umm yeah sheldons not married anymore...was on the radio a few weeks back doing a morning show as a host and said on the air hes single now. We are lucky to have him on the Oilers team |

We need Shelly back, a good penalty killer is really needed. Plus, he's amazing on defense, and isn't too bad when it comes to getting the puck to the goal. Seriously, the oilers have 6 guys away on injury, some of them need to come back. We miss you Shell! |
