it was a late hit and a bit blindsided imo. however, i don't think rome meant to injure horton at all. this stuff happens in hockey and especially when your trying to be physical in the stanley cup finals. but rome needs to be aware of his actions on the ice and smarter. you don't hit a player when he doesn't have the puck like he did. he did seem genuinely sorry for his actions unlike cooke who said "his hit was a clean hit". i'll give him credit for taking responsibility. sucks it happened to horton. such a nice guy and great player. b's have been in this situation before in 07 they lost bergeron and in 09 savard. they battle on though and know it takes more than 1 player to win.
