"worst player on the team". you can't be serious. hudler and bert have to be on the list of "worst" so far this season. and zetterberg, who we all still love, has been a let down so far, to say the least. heck, even my boy cleary isn't having the year he's supposed to be having. and don't even get me started on what a waste of a salary commodore's contract is. there are a lot of wings that are inconsistent or not skating well. i wouldn't put E at the top of that list at all.

does E make mistakes? yes. has he produced as much as he has in the past? not so far. but his game is improving. he's taking more shots and trying to become a more offensive defenseman. it's tough on a guy when he's trying too hard to impress or do too much. plus, i think he has heart, and that goes a long way with this organization. which, if you really are "around the org", you already know that.

Why does Jonathan Ericsson suck? He's what, 6'2"? He's not a small, pathetic little shrimp but you could've fooled me, the way he plays the body...or...really doesn't. Turnovers are his favorite game, he doesn't play with any heart, and in the 2010-11 season he actually scored against his own team - three times. Almost every game it seems he takes a bad penalty, and he doesn't produce from the blueline like Nicklas Lidstrom or Kronwall. Jonathan Ericsson is nothing but a burden on Detroit's hockey roster.

he's been taking a lot of shots lately, so i was glad to see one go in for him on sunday. and too bad zetterberg got his stick on the puck last, otherwise he would have been credited with an assist.

i, for one, hope they re-sign him at the end of the season. he's developing well and has a lot of potential.

i can honestly say when ericsson is on the ice i get worried. it seems to be turnover after turnover with him. i have plenty of knowledge and playing experience and i know a bad player when i see one.

do you really think he's in the top 100 in the whole NHL for +/- just by accident? remember, he's one of the only guys on the team that fights anymore, so some of those minutes are well earned roughing or fighting penalties. don't think so, ask steve ott.

His - does not go down because they do not count short handed goals and he has the most penalty minutes. He has not improved at all as even Stewart has this year.

Tired of hearing about Ericcson's big body. I'd take a guy half his size that shows up to play and comes out the corners with the puck once in awhile. I don't believe the +/- stats. The other team seems to score every time he's one the ice. He was the last player drafted. So what? He's a dud. Babcock's only blind spot. Wings are so soft they tend to hang onto anyone who has a chance of being physical.

Another fine performance by E last night. Yes, he had a give away, but it didn't lead to a goal. And, with as much ice time as he's been logging, a mistake or two is bound to happen. He's improving each game.

He is easily the worst defenseman I have ever seen. When will Mike Babcock learn to bench this guy he can't skate he is afraid to get hit and causes way too many major turn overs that cost us games we need to trade him now before the other teams realize how bad he sucks!

His girlfriend is beautiful and very sweet. Not sure why people are talking crap about her. She doesn't deserve it. I met them a few times and they looked very happy together and were both very sweet to me and my friends. People need to be happy for others!
