They have some great players and that Gabby, Wolfski, Richards line looks awsome but the team as a whole seems to have lost its black and blue heart and soul. What can we do to get the Rangers management to realize that until they find someone else who can galvanize the team at key moments like Avery can, they have to stick with him? Does anyone know of a petition I can sign or something like that?

HELLO, I'm going to list you an important reason why Sean Avery is good for the NHL. ::breath:: - The NHL boasts nearly a complete league of upstanding, law abiding citizens, players who remain within the status quo at all times... Making the title player have the same meaning for how they lead their lives outside of hockey. Not using their voice in society while their voice is obviously louder than an average persons. If I told people my stance on gay marriage, it wouldn't be on national news. Sean Avery is nationally syndicated entertainer, and he isn't afraid to use his celebrity to make his voice be heard. He has made himself into a figure quite like a pro wrestler, the best thing though is he possess enough talent, and acting ability to fool just about everyone. Sean Avery embodies progress and liberalism. Possibly seeing Pro Hockey as an antidote for society. Which it seems, and is probably the most brute and exciting one on the market, in my opinion. Sadly though, in reality hockey never got a fair shake. It isn't america's past time, and it isn't american football. Both made by us and deeply woven into our patriotism. The NHL is even still a far cry from a sport's league like the NBA in (most importantly) TV ratings. The NBA has plenty of celebrity acts, and most seem to love to get into trouble and/or get their mugs on entertainment television, dancing with the stars, rap videos, their own tv shows, movies, pro wrestlers (coincidence), commercials, reality television in any form, on the news, magazines, the news for giving authority a hard time. Morally this all can offend some, although shocking we love to watch. Possibly this is the same emotion within us as a race that seemed to get hooked to brutal television broadcasts like the Casey Anthony "Tot Mom" trial or OJ Simpson, these being more extreme cases. Jersey shores too. Charlie Sheen and Mel Gibson's downward spirals are really entertaining. We seem to forget though both of these men have abused women on numerous occasions. I understand ignorance is bliss, and you all just read all of this shit hahahahahahahahahaahahhaa.... Trolled ya ZIGGY ZIGGY ZAGGAHHHH!

My father (72), born and raised in the Bronx NY, recently had life threatening censer removed this last November. While in the recovery room at Shady Side Hospital here in Pittsburgh, he pronounced his many loves in life, one being all professional sports teams in New York, especially the Rangers. One of the thing I'll always remember from that night is how he spoke of one of his favorite players today, Sean Avery!
