Actually - it would be incredibly easy to prove who has been posting all these offensive messages. Each computer has a unique IP address that tells you where the message was posted from; a similar system applies for cell phones. There is a protocol in place in the event that public computers are used. If Roxanne is not the perpetrator as her "friend" claims to be, then I'm sure whoever is handling this situation will figure it out very quickly. If not, well, she should have backed off when she had the chance.

iam Roxannes friend someone posted her name on here for nothing.so you got no proof that she types stuff on here.she has been adams fan since he came from providence.they were friends.she is his No#1 fan.someone else posted her name.she did not.blame someone for something they did not type or do.so i would leave this girl alone.no proof.

People go to PEI for reasons other than a hockey player. I was attacked because I was considering taking a job in Charlottetown (not that it's anyone's business but there wasn't enough room for professional growth). It's a beautiful place with a lot of historic sites. Honestly - I'm frustrated with this situation and I've gotten a couple emails on this subject. Furthermore, it's compromised my professional integrity. As a woman trying to work in professional sports, it looks bad when my name comes up on a trashy forum like this. I know long run, it's just the person making this wild accusations will get hurt the most, but in the short term, a lot of these girls that have been attacked are suffering because a grown woman is behaving like a petty, mean child.

Players are entitled to a private life. If a player want to shout his girlfriend's name from the rooftops, that's his business. Who are we to assume that every woman they are seen with or mentions his name is a girlfriend? Furthermore, why should we care if a player's girlfriend is fat or ugly? If she makes him happy, then that's all that matters. Being a professional athlete is like being a celebrity. Players will get girls saying they want to marry them and have their babies, but in nearly all situations, its a harmless celebrity crush. I think we all know who the exception to the rule is in this situation. No one deserves this kind of abuse and trash-talking from making a harmless joke or for being a silly girl with a teenage crush.

As one of the fans slandered on this forum, I'd like to end this ridiculous garbage that has been going on. I've repeatedly tried to have comments deleted with no luck. I would like to ask the moderators of this forum to completely remove this forum until a more permanent solution can be achieved - or at he bare minimum remove all the comments that disclose full names. Many of these girls are young professionals and it compromises their credibility when prospective employers conduct Internet searches. I fear that the only way to end this would be through legal action, although it would be a shame to have it come to that. I've tried to ignore all this and take the high road but what has been happening to Heather is so wrong and it breaks my heart that a teenage girl is being tormented for being a hockey fan. Being a teenager is hard enough without having to deal with unwarranted cyber-bullying. I didn't ask for this, nor did any of the other girls whose names have been mentioned (and often misspelled). What really gets me is that McQuaid filmed an anti-bullying Public Service Announcement. You would think that someone who claims to be his biggest fan would take something away from that message. Roxanne - I don't know why you think it's okay to attack other girls like this, but you have to know its wrong. I sincerely hope you get some kind of help so that you can let all of us (yourself included) enjoy the Bruins the way were supposed to.
