wow. incredibly insulting? are you brooks or something? give me a break...and yeah i think he's very overrated and not a play-maker. if anything he's just a net-crasher with good linemates. Semin and Fleishmann are the play-makers on that line. plus your argument is ridiculous, Bradley and Gordon do suck! I wish we could trade them away too. |

wow, to read a comment like that makes me think you've never played a
team sport in your life, or have absolutely no understanding of team
dynamics. Brooks is sexy, you'd have to be blind not to see that, but
he's also a play maker, he can get the puck where it needs to go.
Their on this streak right now because they all work together really
well, and if you take one of them away you mess it up. It's like saying
Matt sucks because all he does is fight, or Boyd sucks because he's
been out so much, its absolutely ridiculous. Also, you're forgetting
that he's a solid 20 goal offensemen, which is absolutely nothing to
sneer at. You really need to take a look at it from a different
unbiased perspective, because to say that all Brooks is is a pretty
face is incredibly insulting.

people only like Brooks because he's hot. He's not really that great of a player...(and don't give me that bull about how 'hard working' he is, they all work hard) i kind of wish they'd trade him and bring some hershey bears up. they can produce just as much and cost less. |

Why do you continually have to stir things up and badmouthe Brooks? This is isn't a competition between Ovie and Brooks. If you don't like Brooks just stay off this board and write on Ovie's board. |

Probably because he deserves the 'C'. He should have gotten it before Ovechkin did. Everyone assumed he would take over this summer anyways. So if he did turn down the 'A', eeehhhhh I don't really blame him, but then again I lose a little respect for him. But it's Brooks Laich. He's one of the stand up, class acts of the NHL. So who honestly knows why the 'A' is missing. Nice to see him score a goal tonight though. =D he's got his touch back.

sometimes I wish he wasn't so hard on himself, he didn't even smile when he scored saturday, but he was all smiles when semin scored. Its great that he's such a good team player, but it sucks when he can't be happy for himself :( |
