| alright, NHL players dont care what you think of them. they know if the rumors are true or not. they dont care what you think. theyre just normal people. move on. obviously, there is thousands of people on here with different opinions and its just one big mess because everyone is arguing! |

| The code among players on the road is what happens on the road, stays on the road. They all cover for one another. None of them "see" anything. It's that way with all teams....all sports. |

You are wrong actually. I'm 26, married, and have several close friends who play in the NHL. Best friends since high school and have always treated me like one of the guys...never held anything back. Of course some of the guys cheat. Some of them cheat like crazy! But usually those are the ones who have gfs, not the married ones. Some married guys cheat too, but it's not the norm. Maybe 1 married guy on a team will be a cheater, another couple with gfs, and then all the single guys who mess around, some more than others just depending on their personalities. One of my NHL friends was like a wild man before he met his wife, then completely changed, another guy has only slept with girls he has been in a serious relationship with...which is like only 4 since I've known him. Like I said...just depends on personality. Same goes for the general population. My point is that cheating husbands is equally common in the NHL as anywhere else...not really more, not less. But, when a guy in the NHL does cheat, his teammates will for sure keep it as quiet as possible, even if they don't think what the guy is doing is right. Imagine telling your teammate's wife he cheated on her...that's a sure way to kill the chemistry of your team. So ya, when guys cheat, it stays quiet. |
| Re: the post below: i may be wrong, but you sound very young.....not all hp's cheat but a lot do get busy on the road. they try to be as discreet as possible. if you honestly don't think it's going on, then you must be very new to this scene. i have dated a player and know a few current players....all of whom have told me it does goes on. i could tell you specific team hotels they stay at and places they frequent and i guarantee you, you will see the women roaming the hotels with players in the lounges and lobby, etc.... i have been on many road trips and have seen some of these guys in action....trust me it's going on. these guys are no choir boys. they are no different than most men in other professions, who choose to cheat, the only difference is that they travel extensively in which their lifestyle lends itself to this behavior. by the way, there are some good ones out there. |

I know a number of hockey players (never dated any of them). I asked flat out if lots of guys cheat on their wives/gfs. The answer I got, more than once, was NO. Most guys do not cheat...some do of course, but most do not. I think what the previous poster said is exactly right. And if these guys wanted to play the field, why on earth would they get married? So they can cheat on their wife, she divorces them, they lose half of everything, plus alimony for however many years, they lose their kids (a hockey player dad would never get custody of the children because they are gone too much to take care of them...and their wife would obviously move back to where they came from, taking the kids with her). If you ask me, that is way too big of a risk to take unless you know you are in love with the person you are marrying and want to be faithful to them. Otherwise, you are asking to be taken to the cleaners! Why would any player willingly put themself in that position? Like I said, I'm sure a few do....just like men and women in the general population cheat. But to believe that every guy is running around on his wife is rediculous. Why not just stay single and keep all your $$ |

just like wives cheat on their husband even if they are hockey players. Cheating is part of life everyone. The only reason that you are all talking about it is because you want to be the girl that he cheats with. Or again, maybe just maybe he is not that guy, just like many other guys out there who don't all cheat on their wives. The way you are all talking, all of your fathers should be cheaters as well....you are all saying that all hockey players cheat....Someone should go tell your moms...or any of you who have boyfriends, in case you did not know, he is doing someone else when he goes to school, or work, or whenever he is not with you. Hope you are happy. |

Do you know what is sad with most of you, You all see beauty from what someone looks like, have any of you realized that the ugly people or those talking about people they don't even know. If any of you actually knew her, you would see that she in no way claims to be a knock out. She is happy with herself, and does not feel the need of putting anyone down in order to look good, like so many of you do. Knowing her, she would laugh at all that you are saying. If only you knew her...LOL... |

you people need to stop busting on his wife. She does have some nice skin goin on. She may not be a hot girl. but she sure isn't ugly.If you think she's ugly.you haven't seen ugly. You should see some of the the ugly chicks that i run into. and they think there cute.they need to stand in front of the mirror a little bit longer.lol |

| never say never......after some alcohol and flirting, you would be surprised what these guys do on the road. for god sakes, stop putting him on a pedestal. he's human.....just b/c you don't think he would cheat, doesn't mean he hasn't nor does it mean he won't do it in the future..... i bet he has thought about it.....given the right opportunity, no one can say for sure he won't do it, so stop acting like he's so perfect.....he may be close, but he's not perfect. |

| the statement about sharing his bed..... on the road is a general statement as many players get their groove on while on the road. yes, it does happen and if you think that it's not even a possibility you are either really young or just in denial.....i don't think anyone is even thinking about what's going on at home nor who has what. you know, there are some girls who have ther own $ and don't care what the player has nor are they thinking about the wife....or what she has or how she may feel. it's sad b/c a lot of the wives have no clue what's going on....but again, it's just not hockey players....men in general in all walks of life. |
