For that particular name it doesn't really matter, does it. It's pronounced the same way whether you spell it with an "e" or an "a'.

Sorry but this pisses me of. Jarome is spelled Jarome not Jerome because in yoruba , the Nigerian dialect he speaks the A is pronounced the way we would pronounce E and vice-versa.
