Letang skated yesterday for the first time since getting hurt in San Jose. he wore a red no contact jersey and said he felt good to be back on the ice. he will NOT play on this road trip but is expected to be back in the lineup when the Pens play at home, either against Montreal or in the NY series over that weekend. |

he has a contusion on his shoulder. its not the same thing as a dislocation. i asked my mom, she's an orthopedic surgeon. a contusion can occur to the bone, muscle or ligaments. its basically just a bruise. it wouldnt really get worse if he played thru it, but its better if he heels completely cuz its VERY painful and would likely have a negative impact on his play--from the lips of my mom Dr. Kelley Harris. LOL |

it's not that simple. when you dislocate the shoulder the ligaments are stretched out and cannot support the shoulder. Another hit could put him out the rest of the season. |

It was getting long, I noticed during the playoffs. I think he gets it cut short at the beginning of the season and doesn't cut it off again until the end (keeps it trimmed but adds general length). After the playoffs ended, his hair looked super long on the day they took the Cup to the Pirates game. Kinda like a superstition or something. |
