dude is scumbag.  I hated both him and Carcillo when they were on the Flyers.  dumb, senseless penalty after dumb penalty AND they both suck ass at actually playing hockey (would have never made the show if they weren't goons [and they even fail in that role, getting their asses kicked on a fairly consistent basis]).  So glad he's not on my team anymore.  P.S. enjoy the links this summer, just hope you're a better golfer than hockey player.

First people please don't believe everyone who claims to be friends with Arron or his family. I have come across fans who chat with memebers of his family and right away think they are good friends with them when his family is just to nice to say otherwise. I am a big Arron Asham fan and I have talked with memebers of his family, but I would never claim to be close friends with them. They are very nice people and some so called fans think they are apart of his family circle, but as soon as he went to the Pens they were ashamed to wear his jersey or anything with his name. So please don't put too much stock in these so called close friends of the Asham's.

i looked at some of the other player profiles and there are some guys that are married or have kids but it doesnt say so on theirs either. i dont think some of the profiles are accurate so who cares. even if hes not married, he still has a family with his girlfriend so why are you so interested?

Thnkas for the info it is good to hear on the likelihood that Arron staying with the Flyers.  As a Flyers fan I would prefer that Carcillo not be back.  He does have some skills for a goon, but keeping him under relative control will always be a battle.  I also think that Carcillo is a punk and I questions how well his fellow teamates like and respect him.

I am a big Flyers fan. The last 2 years I have really become a huge Arron Asham fan.  He is a solid player who gives 100% at all times.  Something you cannot say for some of the other Flyers.  Considering his aggressive style of play he seems ot have a knack for avoiding those cheap penalties.  He also seems to come up with a big goals at key times.  I love this guy,  I hope the Flyers have enough money under the cap to give Arron a fair offer to keep him in a Flyers uniform.

I really hope we resign Arron.  Not only is he a good, solid player that fits our style but he's a good role model outside of the rink.  I see those of you who don't know him bashing him but you obviously don't know him.  He is a genuinely nice guy and good father.  He is also a hard worker and is good to him mom!  :)

I really don't know why everyone keeps talking crap on Arron Asham. He is one of the nicest guys on the Flyers. He always has time for the fans and is one of the only players that will stop  and take the time to talk to the fans and sign autographs. I don't think women throw themselves are Arron...Please, he is no rock star in hockey.. I know someone personally that was asked for her phone number the first time she asked for signature...she did not give it to him..he kept trying to get her to give in and then chased her car out of the lot to try to see if he can talk to her at a light...He had a baby and a gf at the same time..Appropriate? Fighting is not the game anymore, Philly cannot get that through their heads, it is not the 70's anymore...Speed, skill, excellent skating, quick hands and youth are where the game is now...He has stone hands and cannot handle a pass if it had glue on it...He is almost 32 years old..he is not going to get any better than he is now..He would not make the rooster on any other team and he probably (almost positively) will not be back next season...His contract is up at the end of this season. G and JvR cannot keep their numbers and skill up with him on their line. Carcillo on the other hand has really stepped it up and shown some real good hands...his skating has always been excellent and his fighting is better than Ash's and I think he will be back...He has worked his ass off to get better..Asham is good to the fans, that I have seen myself but to say he is a star in the NHL is far far from the truth. And he treats women like shit.....
