Now that Ottawa has signed Alex Kovalev up for the next two years, maybe that will help Dany Heatly make a decision. I just can't see him coming back to this city after all this. He'll probably need to disguise himself to get in to Spezza's wedding. |

Mr. Heatley gave a list of teams he would play for -- the Oilers was not one of them. Also Ottawa was very reluctant to pay his bonus.Ottawa needs Dan Heatley; he will play great for team Canada and also do the same for Ottawa, provided the coach does not try to strong arm him. The teams given were all good upcoming teams with promise. Sure any player would love to play for a team on the list he gave, but do they have that luxury? NO! He's a little b*tch for requesting a trade then crying like a little baby that it doesn't work for him or the team isn't good enough for him! He wanted out of Ottawa and what does he expect Ottawa to do trade with a team where they will get crap in return just to make Mr. Heatley happy? Give me a break! If I was Ottawa I would bust his balls and not even look at any of the teams on his list for a possible trade. Ottawa needs to look out for their interests too just not Mr. Heatley's! |

If Dany Heatley had been living in a trailerpark working at Walmart in Georgia he would most likely gotten 10 years in prison.... The Snyder Family saved him from that.. He should have reflected on what has happened in his life and be greatful to be able to play on a second line. Murray should sit Heatley for next season much the same as Bobby Clark did to Lindros in 2000 - Lindros pulled the same stunt -demanded a trade publicly but in the end he started mumbling the song .... Heatley will definitely be at the wedding. They are pretty close friends. I bet half the media already knows when the function is taking place ... everyone knows the location. I imagine some media may still show up, but there will likely be enough security to keep them out. I think to a sense the Ottawa media has a little more respect for something like that ... suprisingly haah. |

If Heatley is a true player to the game he should go to Edmonton, and fly under the wing of Pat Quinn. With Hemmer, Heatley will be sure to showcase his talent, and receive respect for it, form coach, players, and fans. Bottom line if you like the game it shouldn't matter where you play. He will be a god when he comes to Edmonton, and hopefully all the Nylanders, and other shitheads who didn't like Edmonton will see how great Edmonton is FOR YOUR CAREER! not your lifestyle. |

happy to sit on the bench for Team Canada only to be selfless and wait
to play. Kevin Lowe is mostly responsible for all the Oiler mishaps New

" 'I can’t express how disappointed I am in the press and hockey fans concerning Dany Heatley’s request to be traded. I was talking with his parents … and they can’t believe the awful things that people are saying about Dany. He simply wants to play on a team that believes in his abilities. “The new coach (Cory Clouston) has decided that Dany is a second-or thirdline player, uses him on the second power play and plays him 14 minutes a game. Dany had many closed-door conversations with him and was told that the situation would improve, but it didn’t in the two months they were together.' Though he was used on the second-unit power play, referring to Heatley as a “second-or third-line player” under Clouston is a stretch. Though his ice time did dip, Heatley usually played alongside Spezza and Daniel Alfredsson on the first line. " I probably watched 80 of the 82 games the Senators played last season (in the stands and on TV) and I doubt this Tom Molloy did or I think his statements would be a little more accurate. Clouston did drop Dany down to the second line PP unit at times, but that was because he was looking for something that was working. Same with Heatley's ice time .... he was looking for something that was working. The Senators were 19/11/4 under Clouston, so I think his system was working. |

trade heatley for emery, we'd have less problems in the locker room with razor back, and maybe some decent goaltending. heatley is a big ugly baby. i cant even believe he had the A on his chest. we might not get a proven 50-goal scorer for heatley, but at least we can get a player committed to both ends of the ice and one that can actually throw a hit. a draft picks and a good defenseman wouldn't hurt either. |
