JIMMY HOWARD IS AMAZING! He led the Wings to the Stanley Cup playoffs! You can say whatever about how he didn't win the series, but he worked so hard, and he is amazing. I have never seen such dedication to hockey like he brings to the Wings!

Jimmy! Please try to stay focused the whole game. These soft goals are losing games for your team and keeping you from becoming a great goalie. You have a chance to become a redwings legend if you stay focused or you can become like osgood. (a great guy but only a average goalie on a great team).

Howard is the best goalie in the NHL right now, and if you don't agree then go on another website because this is a Howard fan club.So Howard, I met him twice and he is the most nice and humble guy I have ever met, I like him so much I waited in line for four hours just to meet him and I was first in line. I agree with the last post! I am not a Wing's fan...but my team goalie is in the same position as Howard..experiencin there first playoff run and being a goalie is NOT easy. You need a strong defense and offense otherwise everything gets left up to you, and yeah Howard let in a couple crap goals, but it happens. The only goalie that I think should be takin a bit of slack right now is Luongo...for being " one of the best" and so highly paid...lettin in 6 or 7 goals in a playoff game? Ouch !

Everyone who keeps saying if Jimmy Howard starts next year "I wont watch" or "I am no longer a wings fan" or "he did terrible"....

Well 1 please do not watch with your negative attitude we will get know where. 2 If you can just drop being a wings fan like that then you truly are NOT a wings fine know matter how long you have watched them. 3 Howard did as good as he could of, Yes he did let goals in that shouldnt have been let in but for the most part and this being his first year in the playoffs he did great. Howards problem was he was doing 2 jobs....Playing golie (his real job) and playing defense. Our defense SUCKED this year. It was left up to Jimmy Howard to be goalie and defense. As you should know he can not stand in the net and play defense. He did the best he could. and I HOPE that he is our starting golie next season and for every person that disagrees....PLEASE be a Sharks, Penguins, or Black Hawks fan. We really do not need the negativity or the non believers just because we didnt make it all the way to the end. We still did a great job this season!

Let's get the facts straight. Jimmy spent 5 years in Grand Rapids. He has been developed as a goalie.Except for 1 minute and 19 seconds in game 1 of the Sharks series, he played masterfully. Also, he is the 1st goalie in Red Wings history EVER to win a game 7 on the road. And besides, our alternative is Osgood. No one wants to see that!

he is far from perfect sports girl  maybe some more time at grandrapids would do him some good. maybe if he learned to keep his 5 hole shut we could win games without having to score more than 4 goals. or he could just stop playing hockey all together, and you wouldnt have to defend him, or you could stop defending and realize he sucks
