Yeah they definetly need to keep Max on the line with Geno and Feds. That line was amazing. I sure hope he's not out till Christmas, I really can't wait that long:( |

Hey ladies, on a Pittsburgh sports show last night, they said once the surgery got going, they discovered Max had something torn in his shoulder. So the reporter was saying he COULD be out till Christmas or later!! Oh no! ~~when I arrive, I bring the fire...~~ |

I sure hope Max has a quick recovery, I can't imagine waiting 4 to 5 months to see him on the ice again. |

Considering Max wasn't IN Pittsburgh on the 3rd, would have been difficult for him to be moving. His golf outing was on the third. Surgery was today (the 7th) with a 4-5 month rehab. Ummm maybe he was jsut having new furnature delievered???? That could be a possibility. |

I usually post over on the Geno board but thought you ladies might be interested in this tidbit. "I was driving through the South Side yesterday and saw a U-Haul truck in front of Max's place. It was getting loaded (or unloaded, for that matter). No sign of people, though, but it was directly in front of Max's in his little driveway area. Who knows what was going on for sure..." Has anyone heard when Max will have the Cup at home in Montreal? Fleury will have it in Sorel on August 6th, so I'm thinking probably around then since it will be so close by. |

Talbot Undergoes Successful Shoulder Surgery Pittsburgh Penguins forward Maxime Talbot underwent successful surgery Tuesday to repair a chronic shoulder problem. His recovery is expected to take four to five months. UPMC physician Dr. Mark Rodosky performed the surgery to repair a torn labrum in Talbot's left shoulder. "Max has played with this problem for quite a while and we all agreed it was best for him to have the surgery at this time," Penguins general manager Ray Shero said. "Although he will miss training camp and the start of the season, the doctors expect him to make a complete recovery." |

Talbot to have shoulder surgery Monday, July 06, 2009 By Shelly Anderson, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Penguins forward Max Talbot, the goal-scoring hero of Game 7 of the Stanley Cup final, is expected to have shoulder surgery sometime in the near future. It's not clear which shoulder is injured or whether he might miss the start of the 2009-10 season when the Penguins begin defense of the Cup title. Talbot, who spent most of the playoffs on the right wing with center Evgeni Malkin, scored both Penguins goals in their clinching 2-1 victory over Detroit in Game 7.
