Budaj was the weakest of all starting goaltenders in his ponderously long tenure as a starting netminder, in Colorado. Prior to the emergence of Craig Anderson as a serviceable goalie, they had Peter Budaj lite in Aebischer, whom the Habs also obtained. Of course there was Thibault... cripes this is downright incestuous. Frankly I'd sooner have Red Light between the wickets (I saw poor Andre a few years removed from the cup win passed out on the floor of a bathroom toilet stall in a bar back East) than Budaj. Peter flipping Budaj? And they let a guy like Cexri Desjardins walk to Tampa, who is currently lighting-up Budaj as we speak (albeit preseason, he still looks awful. Awful!).
