News flash love! Not all gay men act like that, infact, a lot of them don't and come out after years and years of it being hidden. And, yes, they can be hockey players, football players, macho men - you name it. Most gay men are not what you see on tv. 

In the case of Ryan Whitney, I don't know if he is gay or if he isn't and personally I don't care as long as he continues playing good hockey :)

So glad to see the Duck faithful feel the same way as me.  I bleed black and gold and cursed his name every single game and called him the worst defensemen in the NHL and everybody thought I was crazy.  Now we have Kunitz and basically got him for nothing.  Trading Kunitz for a moldy slice of bread would have worked out better for the ducks that Ryan Whitless.  That man is a turnover waiting to happen

It's probably just a random guy and has nothing to do with whether or not he is gay. He did have a relationship with Lauren on and off for a very long time which ended cause they both had multiple other's on the side.

I know he had a pretty GF named Lauren--there were pics of her and Abby Malone on Crosby's site at one time (at a Christmas party at Mario's.  I never heard anything about any gay bar crap.  Some girl was on Crosby's site a few months ago and said she slept with Ruan and that "it wasn't very good"  but she would not elaborate.....
