Sometimes hes with that tall, bald Russian guy and their short female friend [I cant remember their names] and I saw him ONCE with Ovie, but most of the time he just chills with his buddies. Actually, Sasha is NOT better than that. I'm glad somebody is putting this spoilt prima donna in his place, AND it's the coach of his beloved Mother Russia's team. I still think Semin is a superb talent, but he IS lazy, selfish and interested only when he wants to be and money-mad as well. He was great against the Rangers, but lost it completely agains TB. Where the hell was he? He needs to be publicly humiliated -- I hope the Caps get rid of him -- maybe then, he'll finally grow up.

Do you actually know anything at all about Semin or are you just pulling all of this out of your ass? He may be a lot of things, but he probably isn't money mad after having grown up in a post-USSR industrial town- which is exactly what Krasnoyarsk is.

Also, there are players like Toews who also weren't invited to the IIHF-WC. It doesn't mean that either of them are bad, they just didn't fit into the type of team the coach was trying to create. And Semin does have a history with this particular coach.

What kind of fan are you? Condoning the public humiliation of a player? Do you even know how many game winning goals Semin scored? If he hadn't been on the team, then how many games would the Capitals have lost? Just the fact that he's got one of the best shooting percentages on the team should tell you something. The only person that got more points than him during playoffs was Ovechkin, tying him with Laich for second with 7 points.

Do some research before bashing one of the most beneficial pieces of the team. He may have droughts, but when he gets productive, he really makes a difference.

Tonight the Big Cat -- panther or tiger -- was poetry in motion.  Nice to see him looking so happy, esp'y after the luck-less shoot-out against the Flyers.  He's amazing and when he gets in that little corner God help his opponents because he is going to score.  He came out at the end -- he got the top slot among the 3 Player of the Game picks.  Wonderful, wonderful hockey player and gorgeous to boot.

Man, this was HIS night, HIS game.  I lost count.  He keeps this up no one will be able to afford him, least of all the Caps (can you spell Ovie + Backstrom + Green + the rest).  Awesome performance.  He's postively dangerous and for those of us in love with him there was plenty of action on the big screen.  He's not only a force to be reckoned with but he is THE force to be reckoned with. Probably his best game.

Alexander Mikhaylovich Ovechkin is my inspiration,,when i think of him he encourages me in everything i do...i watch every one of his games,,and every time he scores i jump to my feet to cheer him on. no one else can make me more proud than this wonderful guy. i love you Alexander Mikhaylovich Ovechkin! lets go caps [:
