Sydney Crosby earns about 9 million a year. The other night, he had 4 points in 15 minutes of ice time. Poor old Scott Gomez-he earns only 7.3 million a year, and he also has 4 points, and it took him only 198 minutes of ice time to get them!!!! What's wrong with that picture?????

having gomez on the ice is a liability for sure. forget his super-tarded salary..even if he offered to play for free, he should not be allowed near the ice. even as a spectator he would find some way to screw up the plays.

The guy is simply draining the money pot !!! His so-called legacy in a Habs uniform is pure down right degrading to such a Sacred Hockey Organization !!! The guy, just down right sucks. When he arrives at his bank in Montreal to cash his paycheck, he should be arrested on the spot for fraud !!! Shortly after being eliminated in last years playoffs, he made a point to publicly apologize to the fans for his bad playoffs performance !!! ... And what we don't get one for the regular season too ? Seriously, a song should be written about him called " Money for nothin' and your CHECKS for free "

It's simple math ... The guys got to go !!! even if it means the farm team !!!

Habs should've let Gomez spend the year in Hamilton. They'd still have to pay his outrageously overpaid salary but at least it wouldn't go against the cap and we could sign someone that could contribute in some way to the team.

terrible player.. i was ecstatic when they picked him up at first, after looking over his stats and what he has done.... now... im just waiting for this contract to be over or at least a trade away would be excellent. once again... 1 mil a goal.

Gomez can see the ice very good i'll give him that but thats all he can do, he was absolutely brutal in this series except for game 1.

He doesnt battle what so ever he just sits there hoping the puck will squirt out to him, and if in a rare instance he is battling he gets knocked off the puck in seconds. He is a huge liability in the defensive zone, he doenst show any intensity what so ever, only when he has like 10 seconds to wind up and skate the length.

Gomez has been the worst move Montreal has made in a long long time and 7 mil on top of that, I would take a Ryan White or Lars Eller any day of the week over gomez for a playoff run. Put this guy on waivers and free up some cap space, if there are any GM's willing to take him.

Well then stop looking at him as a 7 million guy and start seeing him as a simple hockey player. He has some things to work on, yeah for sure. But he's still one of the best at bringing the puck in the offensive zone. The problem is when he gets there. He either tries to shoot like a 5 year old or he waits to long with the puck and looses it. But when he has good options to make a pass : that's when we see why gainey did pay him 7 million. If he could only improve on his defensive and on his shooting : he would be really good.
