Ryan does not have a clue. Tuuka does not play the angles well and he is like a turtle from side to side. His positioning is terrible many times he roams totally out of goal and crease. If he makes a save if the defense does not clear the puck Tuuka is incapable of making another save.
Dan Ryan, you suck! You've probably watched 3 games all season! I read your article and you are completely off-base!! You've probably never picked up a hockey stick... I love the comments under your article... those are true fans who know what they're talking about! Find another sport to write about like cricket or snooker!!!
Wow! I couldn't agree more with what everyone is saying! It was just a matter of time for everyone to see this STIFF's true colors!!! What a breath of fresh air to see Anton Khudobin play the way he did. He gets it! He stepped up and played HUGE!!! Tuukka stay home... I give you the rest of the year off! Please do us all a favor and lookup on YouTube how to play goalie... watch Anton too!!!
Agreed the effort was definitely there last night- a lot of time it looks like Tuuka is looking forward to the end of the season. His lateral movement is like a turtle.being slow and not big is not a good recipe for a. goaltender.
The team played with conviction Saturday night because they were excited that Khudobin was in net. He played with conviction and focus himself, tracking the puck well. Unlike Rask who couldn't track a beach ball.
As a goalie, I can say you guys do know what you're talking about. Rask is terrible on his angles and he seems to like playing on his knees way too much. There are no 4 foot tall goalies in the league so it's beyond me why Rask gets on his knees all game to make himself 4 feet tall. Stand up and play your angles like a real goalie, then make some big game changing saves like a real 7 million dollar goalie.
