There is a post from Sunday 5 July 2009 about the "Ranch House Racers'. I used to hang there with the brothers and Gary. I have lost touch of NHRA racing totally until about a few months ago. I would love to hear back from Gary or any of the Curt's Tire gang. Neal Graham 951.751.6069 |

Do not see Gary's name in the results from Denver? Guess he isn't racing. Less and less cars are even going to the races anymore! Guess the economy has hit the race teams >( If you show up you make the show at a lot of races these days... |

The last time I saw Gary he had a 40 Ford Coupe and was hanging out at Curts Tire Shop in Artesia or could be found hanging out at Chuck Finders Shop, just down the road.Steve Plueger,Ron Brizio,Roger Garten were all regulars at Curts Tire shop on Friday night for first round of "Beer Call",lotsa fun ,lotsa "Grab Ass",B.S.flowing heavy, with the Edmundson Gang in charge at the old ranch house, bunch of 18,19,20 year old kids heading down to Long Beach Dragstrip to see some of the greatest drag racing ever. You shoulda seen the old rods we drove back then in 1963,it was a beautiful time in our lives and we all lived and breathed race cars..........handwriting on the wall as they say. Here is hoping Gary will get some major sponsorship,as money is tite right now.If not Gary will just have to build a Nostagia car and go racing 70s style again with his old buddy Steve Plueger...............Best Regards Gary |

Gary can be seen in The "FunnyCar Summer" movie at sacramanto raceway Park. A great movie with great nostalgia fc footage. I hope he makes it back soon. I spoke with jack Beckman at the Sacramento Raceway Park race this past weekend and said Gary will be racing part time. Jack had a bad accident on the first funny car pass and the American Revolution body was totalled. Jack is fine thank goodness. |
