I had the honor of meeting Tony and what a wonderful human being. My family and I have met him on several occasion and he is just as nice on the track as he is one-on-one with his fans. Thank-you Tony for attending the All American Army football games in San Antonio, Texas and as a retired Army soldier and racing fan thanks for all that you do for our military (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard) families. You are a true professional in our eyes, hooooah. "Go Army Sarge"

I have been going to the drag races ever since I was about 14 years old. I can not find anything as exciting as NHRA Drag Racing. Then I met Tony Schumacher At aple Grove Raceway in Reading PA. I have talked to him at several events and the man is a genuine human being I have never met anyone as nice and sincere as this man. He is the number one in the sport no matter what his record shows. I am 58 years old now and as far as I am concerned he has no equals. I must say there are other greats out there but his personality is unsurpassed.

I been following nhra for years, been a DSR fan for years an I had the pleasure to see with my own eyes how that operation works an I tell you its not as easy as it looks I met tony an he was a class act an so was everybody in the team then I saw him again at another race track an he actually remembered me from the first time I met him walked up to me just to say hello, that's class right there. So for all you ignorant people who judge him by what you see on TV let me tell you talk to the guy an you'll see how nice he is.so put a sock on it people enjoy the sport like we all do an if the DSR Is not your team of choice oh well root for the one you like but don't bad mouth people you never met

Just so you know I have been close personal friends with Tony for years and have never seen someone who cares more about his fans or his job.  There are a lot of inside things that happen in a multi-million dollar business like drag racing that we will never understand. Here's what I know.
1. Tony has never blamed anyone but himself for a loss.
2. His dad would not hire him for years. Tony had to get his own ride in jet cars. Then he kicked ass in the Exide car and helped land the Army sponsorship. He earned the gig and if you know his Dad you know he is a business first guy.
3. Alan Johnson not only left but took Tony's ENTIRE TEAM to Alanabi who then spent 30 million and they still beat them for last years championship.
4. A class act, a good friend, and a machine behind the wheel.
So keep whining and bitching about Tony. Keep wasting your time worrying about him. Just know he won't spend a minute worrying about the haters.

I am Tony's #1 fan.  Not only is he a stellar driver, I commend him on how he represents the army and what the army stands for.  The kindness he exhibits with his fans is one of kind.  He is the best, and he is gonna go all the way in 2010.

How do you email Tony so my son can get him to donate a shoe for a school-based, volunteer club called The Shoe Club which he belongs to? The teacher has some famous people's shoes on the wall & my son would love to add Tony's to the mix.
Please email me vegbudd@gmail.com if you have any information.
Thank you

Hi my name is Max Moore and I am a huge fan of the NHRA.  My son is in Boy Scouts and is building his derby car this year to look like Tony Schumacher's US Army dragster.  My brother is in the army and going to be deployed to Afghanistan this April.  We are attending the races this weekend in Houston and would love to have Tony sign my son's derby car so we can send it after we run our derby race with my brother overseas to show our support for his sacrafice for our freedom.  Best wishes to you and all the racers this weekend and God Bless.  Max Moore - Texas

I've been around drag racing all of my life and have met most ALL of the racers. Tony is an arrogant spoliled brat and isn't near the same driver as Joe Amato, Eddie Hill (the BEST in my opinion) and certainly not even close to "Big Daddy"  He's not squat without Mr. Johnson! Congrats Alan!!
Tony isn't squat without Alan Johnson. Tony should be kissing his father"s butt everyday for being able to afford Alan. Quarantee... Schumacher will fall flat on his face next year without Alan. Doesn't matter who becomes the new crew chief.
hey im a number one fan of  Tony Shumacher iv been in all the NHRA in nj not missed one day except on the 22nd i couldent go to the track i was to upset on what happend to Kalitta but congrats on the victory sorry i dont go to c it
I went to my 1st drag race on Sunday 6-8 at Joilet and just have to say that watching it on TV wasn't anything special and really didn't understand much about wat all the hipe was about until I got there. It blew me away with the awesome power and now I am 4ever a fan and will go whenever I can and it will be a whole new experience now even watching it on TV. Thanks for the thrill of a lifetime!!!! Hope to meet you in person someday!!!!
