If you are interested in making a donation to help out Samia, I would advise contacting this person: http://www.nocsom.org/index.php?option=com_contact&task=view&contact_id=1&Itemid=3 Mr. Farah is the VP of the Somali National Olympic Committee. He said to me that the most reliable and safe way to help the cause and to make sure the money gets used properly is to donate it to the committee. |

Keep on running girl. I would love to see you win gold in the next olympics. You inspire me so much. I live in a country that focuses on what kind of car you drive, not a country where there is danger everywhere. I wish so much that you and your family could move here and get everything you need and more.Even though i dont know you i will always remember you and look up to you. Love to your family and friends. They are all in my heart as well.

This is the kind of people we should have in this world. Samia, may you have all the blessings and hopes Somalia will reflect on your struggle on how Somalias war conflict brought its people into despair. Hope those billionaires out there can help her in anyway they can.. |

I can't stop crying...this is such an amazing story. I pray for her safety and that of her family and hope there is some way that the world can come together to give her money for food and proper training to help her achieve her goals. I hope we see her again in the next Olympics! |

a truly inspirational story of courage and spirit. As an athlete, the only thing she lacks right now is financial support...for the rest that an athlete must have, she already has it a hundred folds over. And these things are the most important...those that comes from the heart and soul.good luck!!! |

I think the story is amazing. Everyday we seem to take life for granted, we can drive around freely~go grocery shopping when we want to~and basically do whatever we please without thinking twice. As I sat and read the story on yahoo, I couldn't stop crying. This girl is truly amazing! She didn't give up on what she wanted! I wish I could have half the strenghth and courage! I google her name and found this page because I wanted to know more about her. If you ever read this Samia just remember you have inspired me! You have touched my heart and I thank you for what you have done! God bless you! |

I just noticed.... for her not to cover herself (hair) and have to go back home and face these islamic thugs.... that is so incredibly courageous... I pray she stays safe! |
